Step away from the screens
A chubby middle aged ex squaddie determined to show his kids there is more to life than being screen zombies.
I use KZread as a way to get my kids to engage with the outdoors, they think they’re making vids when in reality they’re camping with their old man an hopefully making memories along the way.
Everything we do is cheap or free so there is no reason not to do it.

Do you do all the work at home too 😅
Not a stitch of it
Well done with bramblhead😂👍👍
Dear Mrs Nobby, I am very disappointed in you. Humans, aside from Tarzan do not swing from trees, we are a ground dwelling generally intelligent member of the ape family, with some exceptions, for example your husband. Who much to your chagrin I suspect, is no loin clothed Adonis. I must insist that you demand ground dwelling accommodation on future episodes. Signed A long term fan...of yours not your husband.
You sir are lower than whale shizzle
@@Nobby77 I'm lower than that and you love me for it.
Dealers could not give them away back in the day . Make it electric ? and they wont be able to give them away again .
It made 1000 miles carrying kit mate. Not comfortable, fast or safe but had a blast
My experience is with the previous version of the OR Helium Bivy. Here in the States I was able to purchase it on sale for about $120 at that time. Let me tell you that it is what the rviews say....an award winner for sure. Although condensation is always an issue with any bivy/tent, it is less so in the Helium vs this Sylaeto, and that is probaby because of the Pertex fabric in the Helium. Years ago OR made a Gore-tex bivy which was the BEST in reducing condensation in wet weather but it weighs twice what the Helium does. The Helium comes in at right about 1 lb (half a kilo or so). I section-hiked over 500 miles on the AT, the most famous thru-hiked trail here in the States, doing 3 - 4 day hikes and can tell you that if you are ok being confined and will be using this only to get in and go to sleep after a full day of hiking, then this is the real deal. Get a small quick-dry towel and in the morning before you pack it up, wipe the small amount of condensation and you are good to go. It also fits in the shelters since the footprint is only slightly wider than a sleeping pad.
This was a punt, not bad for the money but won't be getting much use. The trekmates squall hooped bivvy done well tho

That's a shame Bramble Head didn't like the OW wind hammock... when I got mine it was a total game changer... keep banging on at her like you did me 😂 I would still be ground dwelling and feeling fCk3d if it wasn't for your constant hammock battering in my ear 👍
You sure know how to give a woman a great time 🤣🤣
It's a gift
another great video, Nobby. I like seeing you and Jackie out together. You guys are a blast. always a great time. Dwayne
Cheers Dwayne, she keeps me on my toes for sure
Good to see ya both out m8 ❤

If I don't get to see a five minute clip of manual morning coffee grinding soon, I'm just gonna go back to watching Rialobran videos.
Good point well presented
My wife was not as understanding as your she said its me or the bikes so I got rid of her and moved the bikes into the house 😊
I've just built a bike house and hidden them
Absolutely love you 2, just like me and my hubby, another amazing video. Just spent 3 great weeks on the golden isle, ❤️

So funny! But your dog has definitively a problem...I saw his ;;; thing ;;;again!

Do you not get bitten to buggery in the middle of those trees?
Normally yes but was OK last night

She's a real trooper. I've tried for 30 years to get my wife into hammock camping. Cheers
Gonna take a bit to get her back out in one I reckon

Your wife is a diamond mate, I've been with mine 49 years and never been able to get her to do that. You are a lucky man.
Cheers mucker. She's a good one for sure
I have the Engwe x24, and what a nice bike that is, it is not legal in the UK but I use it offroad mainly. The Government needs to pull its finger out but this Government will be busy dealing with other things by the look of it.
Don't get me started
Very polite of the camera to fall at the end of a segment, not once but twice 😂
Got to work with what you are dealt lol
Loved this video thanks mate. Do you think it will fit into the side door of a jag xf when folded up?
I really couldn't say mate, it went in the boot of a seat Leon with seats nudged forward
@@Nobby77 thanks for the quick reply!!! You're a huge help much appreciated:) I don't have a hatchback and I can't find the dimensions for som reason but do you reckon you'd fit it through the side doors of your seat? Cheers
@@jnj5904 probably struggle. Possibly if you dropped the handle bars and seat, folded the pedals but not the frame. Not tried it tho
I live in the city so it might be cool for buzzing to the store and back. Great review, appreciate it
Cheers dude
😅
Nuff said on that one Nobby. Now let's go outside
Tomorrow lol
Just getting used to mine. However I bought it to fold up and put in the car. This is do-able, but its heavy! I live in the Welsh valleys, so need to get it powered up the hills!
Just thought I'd add a bit to this after almost 600 miles on this bike. Nobby did a cracking revue. This is a very good value bike, it certainly has it's downsides. There is a juddering from the front brake, but it's not a huge issue, the forks are not great. The cadence sensor isn't as bad as Nobby makes out if you are in the correct gear, I've found it kicks in at around 2 seconds but it will be more if you try to pull away from a standstill above 3rd gear. If you live in an area with steep hills be prepared to keep changing break shoes, I'm on my second set, this may also be because I have it set up with pannier and other bags often full with tools, logs or my weekly shopping. If you are 6'1 you may struggle. I'm a fraction over 6' with size 12 feet and it's almost, but not quite, too tight to ride, that said once you get used to the upright position it's a really nice ride. I have really beasted this bike, overloaded it, had it airborne and taken it down a steep field at about 30mph...not all at once...the build quality is superb, it handles as well as my mountain bikes on the road. Like Nobby kept saying, it's a 600 quid bike...
Cheers Si, I'm glad you share my findings. Can't fault it for value. 600 miles is a decent amount of time to get the feel for it
Cool review they would all fit in my camper for sure 👌
Motorised toilet!
It got sh1t done for sure
Well what can I say chris boardman , out of all the E bikes you've had which 1 realistically would you buy with your own cash for commuting 14 miles each day ??? By the way nice getting abuse off you the other night 😂 m8 atb Rooney

They defo take the pain of hills away
