I'm a fairly accomplished aficionado of early 70's folk music, and when I watched "The Holdovers" I was convinced that this song was from the intended period. I didn't question it at all, and assumed I just had a gaping hole in my knowledge. Couldn't believe this was from 2014. I guess there's artists out there fighting the good fight. Super glad Alex Payne found this guy for me.

Yes here for the same reason. Stopped me in my tracks! I did grow up in the 60s and 70s... we had our moments... check out more of this 'soul of innocence' kind of music... much healing in it... that's why there's so many of us old psychic healing hippie-types walking amongst you. James Taylor, Ian Mathews, Don McLean, Crosby Stills and Nash.., Joan Baez, Carol King, Joni Mitchell... Elton John... Roberta Flack... (i had to glance at my albums lol... and this is just a drop in the bucket). And even at the heels of the Vietnam War and Civil Rights.. we still felt connected and had promise... this music made us feel like we were together...not alone..even when we were... I wish every 80s, 90s, and later earthlings such innocence and more peace. It's hard now... I feel bad for you younger ones, my kids, my Grands... I want you to be safe, happy, and wanted. You all deserve the best! Listen to the music and get in touch with your inner hippie. Let these poets speak to your soul!❤

The feeling of this song is somehow the feeling I've chased my whole life, and will probably keep chasing. Many of my favourite memories share this feeling of peace, of warm summer air and sunlght shining through the trees. I hope one day, i get to stay in it.
