  This was the first Tales of game I ever played (PS3) So I fell in love with games like Graces f, Xillia 2 and Berseria. Sadly the best game (Abyss) was not avalible.

  One thing i really love about the Berseria opening is the use of lightning. It's absolutely incredible and you can see how much work they put into the animation. The game absolutely brought tears to my eyes and by the ending i was sobbing lol.

  100% agree with these. I decided to stop playing because the pals would just leave their breeding zone, stand around bugged instead of transporting, and a variety of other insane base issues.

  Yup, the highler level you go the more it feels like you're micro managing your base. which defeats the purpose of your pals. i hope it improves soon, and thanks for the comment

  One bug that annoys me is when your base Pals are all stuck in one place and won't move. Also, for the love of God, please fix the game from crashing on the Xbox One version. I can't enter a cave or dungeon without it crashing

  I've been playing on PC but i know that a lot of people have been complaining about the xbox version, hopefully they make that one of their priorities. i always make sure to check up on my base regularly because some of pals keep getting stuck on roofs, especially the big ones.

  I can see even locking somethings behind tech upgrades, like the building camera, and maybe even the menu for task selection/prioritization. This would give a sense of progression on top of giving these quality of life improvements, by forcing the user to find these before they can be used..

  thats a neat idea. I dont think they would put the camera behind the tree though. they would probably want everyone to have immediate access to that to see the potential of base building right away.

  i do hope devs dont abandon this game and should prioritize fixing the game breaking wipe glitch in multiplayers. and then gradually improve the pal's ai and some annoying glitches.

  My friend has tweeted at them a few times and it seems that they do read their social media, though of course your chances of being seen are very little. but besides like email and in game bug report tool they have, I'm not aware of any other way, sorry

  I think just fixing alot of the little bugs, would be extremely beneficial to the experience. Like clipping into walls and the ocean floor, or having your pals stuck in fight mode from a raid etc.. Not to mention small improvements, like changing the amount of damage digtoise does to nodes, better pathing to ai, that way the kindling pal doesnt go ignite the campfire for the 47th time instead of refining his ore.

  i am actually shocked the digtoise one is still around. i thought it would have been addressed by now. but honestly the developers are probably spinning from all the success and attention so it might some time before a big patch comes out but I'm willing to wait.

  Pathing AI! 100% I love this game, but it's frustrating to see your pals arguing over who's going to pickup and transport that log that just fell in the ground. Too many times I'll be in my base and all my unassigned pals are huddled around one group of objects, just stuck in an endless "i got it" battle and everything else isn't getting done. Yes, it's usually easy to fix, just recall most of the group into the palbox, let one grab the items and return the other pals. The problem is that it happens all the time. A few minutes after I solve one fight, another breaks out. Some sort of priority system would certainly help out. Medicine>Planting>transporting or something. Not a perfect solution, but it would be great! Oh, and some way to block items going into a chest. Right now, I'm putting 1 of whatever item is most numerous in the chest in each slot to prevent my numskulls from filling all chests with wood and stone, despite dedicated wood/stone chests being right next to the fans. Problem with this is I can no longer sort the items as it'll collapse the whole 1 item stack, and I have to do it again, worse is when I use all the metal in my chest and it uses all the stacks. Suddenly every pal sees the one free chest, and stuffs it full of nonsense.

  I totally agree with this. managing your base is fun but micro-managing your base because of poorly implemented systems is beyond frustrating.

  I thought Starfield was the shit when released and I started playing but then goddam…loading loading loading on a next gen console with an ssd. Sure it has to generate all the procedural elements etc but as these 2 guys mentioned No Man’s Sky let you fly off into Space ( yes I’ve played that too and quite enjoyed it ). I liked the story in Starfield with the twist but going into NG+…so fucking repetitive, so repetitive I’ve stoppped playing until the DLC drops and I get the last achievements for it then I’ll stop again. The replay value is shit in my opinion not as replayable as Skyrim in the sense that I want to replay Skyrim because I love that game, I don’t feel it with Starfield. The hype train went full steam ahead of which I stupidly jumped on !

  People forget that critics and the "industry" are completely separated from normal people. There were a handful of games id stick up there before starfield and cyberpunk.

  Im actually replaying Fallout 3. Although the graphics and animations are dated, the gameplay is GREAT. Just as good if not BETTER than i remember, when compared to many 3A games today

  I've followed the ups and downs of this game and I don't get it, honestly. I put in 132 hours on the first playthrough and I'll say I never started NG+ bc there's no replay value but 132 hours for a playthrough is worth $60, IMO. 2 second loading screens are unacceptable??? Stop it! The game didn't come out for a certain platform and I believe that's why there's so much hate. The game was great, IMO. I'd give it an 8.5-9. All the hate is embarrassing to keep hearing. I'm a souls guy and if Elden Ring can win GOTY, Starfield can definitely be nom'd. Also, I think Baldurs Gate 3 is a 6/10 if that helps...

  Calling Baldurs Gate a 6 out of 10 destroys any credibility your opinions may have carried. The game has some issues for sure ( ie loading screens, and bugs) but I can’t come up with any other game ever that has quality and scope on that level. They exceeded the bar in writing, music, game mechanics really every aspect you could judge them on. On top of all that they are pro consumer so you would have to be a real cunty little troll to push back against them getting all the awards.

  I'm currently replaying Ghost Recon Wildlands. I can drive or fly from one end of Bolivia to the other with zero loading screens, this game came out in 2017.

  I wasn't surprised to see it on the list, while a lot of good games did release this year, there still weren't enough to create a full line-up of nominations... so Starfield was the closest to that goal than others. They were obviously scrambling for nominations this year, hence the inclusion of a DLC (Phantom Liberty).

  SFVI is unquestionably the best fighting game out this year I really feel like they raised the bar for fighting games in general this generation. Definitely should have been in GOTY noms over RE4 no question. 8:57 I cant play NRS games bro their dial-up implementation feels so bad to me.   SF6 pre and post lunch has held up its still a fun game Drive rush aside. as far as MK1 I feel you dial combos take a while but once you get used to it fun plus tag fighter are always super fun find a solid team . Also, this is the most like SF that MK has ever been.

  Phantom Liberty isn't a full game, it's a DLC... Putting DLC's in the list of "GOTY" sets a very bad precedent for the consumers. Cyberpunk had many features that were completely scrapped, a lot of people couldn't even play the DLC because it won't run on older hardware and had to get refunded, even tho they had paid for it years ago. CDPR bailed on many of its promises and released a 15-hour DLC at a $30 price point, that's not GOTY material either. We can certainly expect more studios to follow CDPR's footsteps thanks to sheeple who think the DLC deserves GOTY. Many more games will release unfinished, full of promises that will never be met, and years later will be updated and price-hiked with an expensive DLC attached. People like yourself will certainly complain about it, but it's also what you asked for. This is the literal reason studios have marketing budgets 5x more than the development, because marketing works on silly shills.

  @oourdumb I didnt mean that it should be game of the year. I was comparing the quality of both. Cyberpunk managed to have more quality content in a 30 quid DLC thank Stsrfield managed to have in a full priced game. Thats what i meant. Also I'd never excuse the launch of the game. It was absolutely shameful the way it launched. Should never have happened.

  @@Michael2O01 Personally I thought cyberpunk was a super cheesy storyline with game play that wasn't at all engaging and just about 0 rpg elements, action adventure game... basically on rails. Stanfield has a lot going for it in terms of rpg mechanics and replayability compared to cyberpunk, and with mods it will absolutely blow it out of the water. I have my criticisms of the game, but you're just repeating crap you read elsewhere... and the worse part is it isn't even correct!

  Starfield is the latest evolution of Bethesda streamlining/dumbing down their games since Oblivion and recycling the old Gamebryo engine that Morrowind ran on again and again and again. FO3 already looked dated when it came out and their writing got increasingly worse with every release. Starfield doesn't deserve GOTY in 2023. The procedurally generated planet tiles, the endless loading screens, the NPCs without any purpose that look and behave like automatons straight out of the uncanny valley, the laughably small cities.. come on Bethesda. I like it's art style and the premise and I would've put hundreds of hours in "Daggerfall/Morrowind in Space" but we didn't even get "Space Skyrim/FO4". It's just not a good game and it's sad.

  I think you are totally correct, its such a poorly designed game, that while i had fun playing it, after it felt like a waste of my time. I love bethesda games and aquiring the powers burnt me out so badly. I played fo76 exclusively to get ever achievement, and its sad to say, i enjoyed it more.

  sure you can have your oppinion. a top down c-rpg its not for eveyone. but i think your just being a bit pissy about this. bethesda has been offering copies of the same game with diferent paint for years. and that's why we love em. i have so many hours in oblivion fallout skyrim... but the problem with starfield is not that its bad. it works well enough. looks good enough. its not that. for me it was just bland and boring. got tired of it very fast.

  It being their previous games with the 5e ruleset is most of the appeal, when I played their past games I always felt like they were still working towards something. Baldurs gate 3 comes out and everything finally works together better than it ever has. This is something Bethesda has not done since Skyrim.

  As someone who has seen very little Clone Wars and none of Rebels, I thought the series was ok. I never really got that invested in the characters but I enjoyed the fan service. Seeing Hayden back as THIS Anakin was a dream come true and Baylan Skoll was a great new villainous character. RIP Ray Stevenson. Great review, fellas!
