I booked UA Polaris bus. class round trip Denver to Frankfurt and returning from Munich today in Oct. It was an extra $3400, not sure what the base fare was (a VBT tours air team did the flights for me) but guess around $1800, so about $5200 total RT I am guessing (including bus class flights to and from Barcelona from Germany). I chose seat 7 A both ways, as I read they have two windows for the seat. I recently did a last minute Polaris upgrade for Denver - Munich , the one way cost was $2,094. Sorry the food wasn't so great for you, I enjoyed mine, Shrimp appetizer, grilled salmon, and my fav was the ice cream sundae dessert. And the scrambled eggs and bacon was also quite good.

Some days I feel business and premium travel is watered down like everything else. Last few years when I fly domestic - I dont even bother with the lounge be it Amex, Delta, Admiral, whatever. I qualify for all of them - but I think anyone who howls at the moon on the right night can qualify too. Then they wonder why it's crowded. I find a quiet unused gate. If I'm lucky I find - yes - "chain" restaurant food and if I'm really lucky, *fast food* (that's the food that people with real wealth eat ---no need to be trendy:). And it seems so much quieter and less crowded than the lounges. In a few weeks I'm doing Polaris International out of EWR. Kids never flew international and I'd like them to see lounge so I'll do it. But I have a feeling the local shopping mall will feel quieter and more spacious.

Which one would you recommend for someone a little older like my mum

Hi there, I don't remember the seating options in either observation deck. Maybe check their website for accessibility features? 1) I still don't understand why people bring so much crap onboard the aircraft. So much that a seat that is intended to be spacious, looks like a hoarders 'room'. 2) Why so people expect an airplane bathroom to be more than a 'functional' space to do one's business....and get out. (The only thing I expect it to be is clean.)
