    Great video! 👍 Explained very well. I'm sure not many power master units got this service done in their TR's...

    its very important to mantain this hidden filter , if it gets clogged it the fuel pressure regulater will not be able to release excess presure at idle and your engine will run rich and idle poorly , its also hard on the fuel pump to work aganst this extra pressure build up.. I have seen issues where the liner of old fuel line will deteriate and release plastizers into the fuel system that will both plug up this return filter. there is also very fine screen on the inlet of the fuel pump which will cause low presure and fuel flow to the injectors if its plugged,, if you are having runabilty issues on an e-tec allways check the fuel pressue on the injecter rails.. if its high its likly this filter is plugged , the fuel presure relief regulator opens under excess presure and flows the eccess pressure back through this filter..if its plugged it cant do this ..

    Thank you for such in depth videos and explanations. My brake motor seems to have seized. Gonna be taking off tomorrow and seeing if I can get it to work. Already checked the relays and it’s getting power, I’m Not sure why the fuse blew if I had the battery disconnected, but the fuse blew and now the motor is t running. Thanks again man, these videos are awesome!

    Ok watched your vids, thx so much for the sharing! I just installed a new accumulator ball & pressure switch. Of Cours de pressurizing the system properly. I re-pressurized the ball turn the ignition on with new fresh fluid going into it and check for leaks there are no leaks anywhere also before whenever I hit the brakes the brake light would come on and if I slammed on the brakes hard it would feel like I’m stepping on a brick it would not break right away but then the pedal will go down. Today the next day I took your advice turn ignition on I press the brake pedal three times the motor ran for six seconds then shut off and I waited and waited and waited for more than 33 minutes the motor never came on again and I mean I stood there and waited honestly.

    Did you ever come up with a fix? What did you do that was "unsafe"? I'm having that issue and probably will tear my system down this winter. I have a spare used pump and motor that failed for me back in 1995. I was told failed and it cost me about 1k back then to get it fixed. Tempted to buy a whole new setup from Kirban just to have as a spare. Thanks in advance for any additional help you can share. Great job by the way!!!

    Love and appreciate your videos! I have a question about the pin that pushes into the unit from the Pedal's side of things. It has a snap ring that goes into the master cylinder. What receives it. Mine comes out , with the warn snap ring. suggestions. I do have a photo if I can send to you some how...thx

  • @moneypit9606
    @moneypit96064 жыл бұрын

    The pin (rod) should have a plastic split ring on the end that goes in the master cylinder. (Like a ball/socket) It is designed that way so you could give a quick yank on the master cylinder to remove the power master from the car. If your Rod that attaches to your pedal just falls out of the master cylinder, then more than likely your plastic split ring is worn...or missing?

    I have been walking the line as to what I want to do with the powermaster. I have a 74k grandnational had it since January 2019 and drove it for about 9 months no issue. I'm getting a restoration on it right now. We are gonna replace the accumilator and I was thinking of going with the hydroboost system as people say the powermaster will fail unexpectedly and without warning. You have given me what sign to listen for in a failing powermaster system. I thank you sir.

    My VST (vapor separater tank) failed and I had water in my gas and gas in my water....they were mixing but not causing a overheat issue. You may need to replace your thermostats and check the water lines to EMM and see if water is going through them. I believe I have another video where I used clear line to check for water flow.

    This was an informational video showing that repairs "might" possibly be made to the motor/pump unit. For years we have been told that if the motor / pump does not work, to just buy a new one. Now that all the new motors are all gone, we need an alternative to keep these units running. ( if you do find a new pump/motor that someone has been hoarding...it will cost you between $400-$500, and then at some point in the future, you may STILL end up having the same problem this one does. ) I am merely trying to educate people on these unique braking systems, and hopefully I will come up with better solutions that will make these units live longer, with less failures.

    I just watched several of your Etec videos but they have me a little concerned. I just traded up from my 2000 Ficht motor and now have an 08 Etec 225. I'm already looking at an EMM replacement because the batteries aren't charging. Have you had a lot of issues with your 2011? Also, I bypassed the VST on my old FICHT and it ran great for years. Did you run yours for any length of time bypassed?
