Thanks for the video, FYI apple has changed the whole hitting the 't' button thing, but very helpful to move large amounts of files.
thx 4 vid, short n str8 forward. gr8 job.
When using the rane ttm 57sl which post do you use to record the audio between the auxiliary and the booth?
Do you record then sync audio from the Tascam with the video you took with the A6500 afterwards?
I have the same question
Thank u for this vid. I wanna start recording my mixes so, this post is 👍🏾
Do I need to update the version of my mixer?
Great video. I am trying to understand what you were saying about the caution section. Can you explain? Thank you
Thanks for all the great information dude! As a beginner who wants to start making IG reels and livestreaming. What audio recording device would you recommend (the irig stream, evermix, or an audio recorder like the one you have)?
It I wasn’t wanting to livestream, could I use this setup to record myself playing and make a post for a social media platform?
Can I run that strait to my pc if I dont want to use the phone?
Man, fuck using a laptop for ANY time of DJ'ing. Go ahead and set that auto-cue button too.
dude your awesome! thanks for the wisdom
🖤
How long can your camera record for and not overheat and how long can you record for? Are you using Sony ZV-1?
What audio recorder did you get?? Good advice best vid I've found on the subject simple and direct thanks!
I can't find that atrnuator in my country can someone please assist by sending me one
I am still having trouble doing this. Here is my problem. I have _Serato_ and _Serato_Backup in an external drive, which I have connected to a new MacBook Pro device. I have relocated lost files and even tried dragging the music folder from the external drive into the relocate lost files. However, this did not find the music files. I tried dragging each individual folders. That worked for some. But then every crate seems to just show up in the recycle bin. In addition, after you have disconnected the external and turned off your computer. This seems to wipe out what was been recovered and you have to start over again. I'm really confused. I have way too many crates to start over again. Help
Having the same issue. Transferred those two files on the Mac from an external hard drive. Did you find a fix?
@@FINs_TAVERN I did, but not perfect. I had to use another external drive that is not partitioned. I think that was the problem w/ my first attempt. It was able to read all my songs, but did not ID tag properly, nor mark its BPM. At least the songs are all playable. I'm just now ID tagging properly.
Took some hours but it worked thanks bro
Thank you Bro )
I just watched the 1st video its cool to see how much you have improved in your craft stay working 🙏
Thanks for the video!!! Great job!
Thanks Man 👍🏼👍🏼
Good video. Thanks. Do you recommend getting the Headset Buddy that has the headphone monitor jack on it too for mono audio?
If want to record the audio on my computer while running my rekordbox software how do I do that or is it possible to use the audio recording from rekordbox and link it to the video?
Not 100% familiar with Rekordbox, but there should be an internal option to record your mixes live. I’d look up a tutorial on Rekordbox to find said option, if not, yes, there are other ways to record but internally would be the best option over all.
it doesn't work for me
Sorry to hear that.
I have a Rane 70 mixer.....imma be using a go pro to record my mixes. For the audio...can i connect my go pro to any available audio output????
You can, but the signal may be a bit too loud/hot to go directly into your go pro, maybe adding an audio attenuator in the middle may help. Or just lower the audio out to a decent level and bring it up in post (but I wouldn’t recommend this, more of last option)
You reading from a teleprompter?
Yes.
what if we connect the rca cable to aux input in denon mc 4000 and connect the 3.5mm to mobile using a trrs converter, can we live stream by doing this?
My theory, no, if the aux on your device is an input then it obviously wont output anything to the streaming device. You need a REC out or a MASTER out. In Simple, you need and output from your mixer to go into an input from your streaming device/setup. Get me?
hey i transfered my _serato_ and serato backup folder and music files on my new laptop but when i open serato the crates doesn’t show up. how do get them to show up on serato.
You HAVE to make sure there is only ONE _Serato folder and no other, otherwise it will ALWAYS read the newest one, so do some digging and make sure there are no others somewhere out there on your drive.
This was a big help. Thank you!
Happy it helped!
What do you think is the difference between using the audio attenuator cable or using the trs to trrs adaptor? Which is better in your opinion?
Honestly, its minimal in my opinion (I'm sure other will disagree) so it really comes down to whatever is best for you and your budget. There is an endless supply if options out there, these just happen to work for me the best.
Good looks! i Have been trying to find help with this and i finally found it thank you!
Glad you found the video.
What if you don’t use a TRS cable ? Will it still work ?
No it won't
Most cases it won’t (there’s always an outlier) but I 100% would say to go with TRRS, that’s at least the sure shot way to make thing work, and be easier on you.
Does this work with I phone 6
Should (possibly with and adapter, lightning to 1/8th female).
Hi, can we use the booth out to connect the rca because my mixer has only one master out and there is no option such as record out.
Sure can, just make sure its a balanced output and don’t forget to watch your volume meter (if any) for no distortion.
Sorry this is only Live Scream so How I just take a video
If you look at my other videos, I made a 2/3 part series on how to do just that..record a video.
THANKS BRO REALLY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL
Glad it helped!
Please help its not working
Sorry, going to have to elaborate, have you checked out my latest upload/revision?
Can we use 3.5 mm male to female ?
So you're just looking to use an extender?
Hello, I only have one out put, I have the Ddj sb3 controller, the output I’m using is hooked to speakers. What can I purchase to add more output?
U can buy an RCA splitter cable
Sorry for the late response, I have addressed this issue in my latest upload.
Dope video. I was wondering about the songs that serato doesnt detect the bpm on. If i entered the bpm in myself, will that info go on to the next laptop? Or will i have to re enter every bpm again?
In my experience, it has never remembered it. Don't know if it's due to the actual file or something just glitched or wrong with my Serato crate backup folder. Then again, I only have a small handful of songs to go back in and type in the bpm. I'm sure someone has found a solution, I just have never prioritized finding a fix. Sorry man.
Should I transfer the crates and music to the new laptop before or after I install Serato on the new laptop?
Either works, but for best results I’d say before.
Nice video
Why its not work to my samsung s7? i try this set up
I was only able to test on an iPhone/iPod device, have you looked into whether or not your device is supported?
These guys
Care to elaborate?
Ive bought a rhode sc4 and an atenuator but it still wont work on my samsung s9 or my s10 any tips
Unfortunately none, since I don't have an android device to which dig through and test out.
@@DymendCut no problem thanks any way. I sent it back and will get the I rig stream instead hopefully that will work.
Best of luck that works out.
Also can you make a video of how to connect all these equipments from get go?
You can check out my “How To Video #3: Live Stream Your DJ Set” same process just with recording only.
Wait i am confused is tascam connect to your cdjs or to he studio monitors, where is it recording the sound from?
Ansaar Syed the mixer output
Correct.
I apologize I am basically electronic illiterate. I have an XDJ RX2, similar if not same outputs as a nxs2 mixer or so So, can I still run my Master 2 outputs through RCA into my home speakers, and run another RCA from my AUX to my phone, and that will work? I am reading on other places to plug into my booth? I don't need XLRs to do anything do I? As I do not have any on me.
The AUX on this device seems to be an input...not an output, so that will not do. You would have to switch into using one of the 3 actual outputs on your device. Master 1, Master 2, or Booth. The ideal setup would be, either using Master 1 or 2 as your main source of output for you to hear (that would be monitored by the master knob) and Booth as your output to stream (that being controlled by the Booth Knob) and thus giving your separate controls to adjust your volume individually. Follow? So yes, additional adapter or adapters would be needed.
Hi I use a Pioneer XDJ-RX2, I don't have RCA REC OUT because I record on a USB stick. Even a Samsung Galaxy Note10 + smartphone. How can I do?
Sorry, don't really understand the question. As far as your Pioneer XDJ-RX2, you have 3 outputs, the Master 1, Master 2 and even Booth, so that's 3 outputs. The thing missing would be a "line level output" but you can fix this by using your booth volume knob to control the volume (would need obviously a cable adapter for this process) and as far as the Samsung phone, can not confirm that this line adapter cable will work, since I was only able to use my iPod for this scenario. Hope that helps.
@@DymendCut I can't connect. I tried in MASTER OUT 2 with two RCA / 3-pole jack with 4-pole female jack / male jack adapter connecting with female / USB-C jack. I tested with skype / instagram video call but it doesn't work.
Again, I wish I could help you out more but I don't have or own an Android device to follow along with you and your setup, so I would only be taking guesses as to what the problem could be, but I would say that there is a lot of adapters in between, those would be a problem, or the problem could lie within the settings of the Android device. Honestly my best option for you would be to look into the Roland Go Mixer (or something like it), and even then, would have to see if your device (phone) is supported, which I'm sure it is, sorry man, but there is only so much I can test out on my end.
