you could probably do with just leaving the side wiindows open a bit and having the exhaust fans.... the exhaust fans removing air from the car will automatically draw air from outside via the windows...(or if you fit a vent lower down, from there.... some of the campervans have vents lower down, so it draws in the cooler air..)
@Simoxs714 сағат бұрын
I personally would want to make the outside reflective the matte black will probably heat up fast and the snorkel will help to also heat all the air thats drawn in. And as someone into PC Building and therefore also cooling, I don’t think a blower fan is what I‘d want the static pressure is a bit low for the snorkel probably. The question is what do you mean by stealth either you want no light getting in or no on the outside being able to look inside. For the latter I‘d just use a dust filter for PC fans.

Possibly the cleanest camp set up I've seen in the last couple of days! Inspired me to do a similar set up in the future. I have a question, however. For the headrest part, you're relying solely on the hinges only? What if you accidentally applied too much force/weight on the headrest part, wouldn't it break?
@MattTheDesigner13 күн бұрын
In our CRV no. It mostly rests on the folded seats without a ton of overhang. But that will be different with different cars.

If you car camp in a Prius 2014 and before that time, with the nickel battery, just hit ac button and set temperature, and you have a really comfortable night. I did it for 3 months in really cold and then hot temps. After 2014 they installed lithium batteries which have trouble starting in the cold temps. Just an idea. Although with your idea, you could do that in any car!

Thanks for all of these genius window treatments. I'm converting a 2003 Honda Odyssey and ventilation is a serious problem. It only has the driver/passenger windows and two small vents in the rear windows. And that's it. I'm seriously considering cutting a hole in the roof to put an RV fan in. The part that scares me is trying to remove the headliner. Fortunately I plan to drive it till it dies or sell it as a camper so I'm not concerned about punching a few holes in it. Subscribed!

I'm curious about the thermal qualities of this! I'm attracted to reflectix because it keeps the car cool. Folks often add a black fabric side so they can switch to a blackout/stealth mode at night when they don't need to reflect the sun. As much as I love your design, it looses the reflective quality, no? And it's not double-sided anymore so it can't be flipped. I wonder if a removable (velcro?) reflectix layer could solve this so that it has everything! Also, I may have missed so I'll rewatch the video, but how is it held in to the window? Especially with the storage weight. I definitely missed how it doesn't just pop off.

I still use reflectix when it cold outside. These are wedged under the window gasket. They sit between the window and the gasket.
