I remember Freddie when I was a young girl..he was in a band called the Demont Four...can any of you remember them? I lived at 44 Angela Street, Liverpool 7. Next door at Number 42 lived Al who was a member of the band, so freddie and the guys always practised there. I remember one day Freddie tried to kiss me, I was terrified and ran, Freddie chased me all down the street but never caught me!! He was a character and had a great voice! xx

This song made me cry,the words came true in how his life was towards the end. He died a sad, lonely ,penniless man because of all the bad press he received!! It's almost like he knew where he was heading and that's scary?? He was a brilliant Comedian,Singer and Impressionist. And a very handsome man,sad loss to the world when we lost him.

As with many of the greats, of which he was most certainly one, his final years were blighted with unproven accusations, these clearly impacted on his health. So very sad to think he died alone. I once read somewhere that it was said of Elvis Presley, who Freddie adored, "He got what he wanted, but lost what he had". They both deserved better for the pleasure and joy that their unique talent brought to so many people.
