    Absolutely beautiful! Thank you sharing. Just starting out with bead embroidering, so very new to this. You mentioned your backing is interface, what us the difference between using interface and stiff stuff? Hopefully you'll tell me either can be used, but interface costs less. Ive found stiff stuff is pretty pricy.

  • @AlluringBeader
    @AlluringBeader3 ай бұрын

    Hello, I honestly have never spent out for Lacie's stiff stuff. It is expensive. Interfacing is available in many fabric stores and departments for a much better price. Both items are used for the same exact purposes. Interfacing is available in many different levels of stiffness as well. I hope this helps you out. Personally, I am going to stick with interfacing.

    @AlluringBeader So sorry I don't mean to be a bother but I have another question. Seems there are many types of interfacing and i didn't know which one to get. Which kind do you use? Thanks.

  • @AlluringBeader
    @AlluringBeader2 ай бұрын

    I suggest you hit the fabric department and look for Pellon non fusible. There are varying weights to choose from, so you can decide by project which is most suitable. I used a heavier weight in the tutorial because it was a component, but you may want a medium weight for bracelets etc. Hope this helps.

    Can you use a 16mm rivoli instead of a 14mm

  • @AlluringBeader
    @AlluringBeader3 ай бұрын

    You can, but you would have to adjust the amount of beads and length around the bezel to compensate for the larger rivoli.

    You are very welcome. I have found, over the years, that a lot of designing with beads, involve trial and error. The trick is to understand the thread properties you are working with, to avoid problems with fraying and knots. Have a great day.

    I know this is an older video, but this video is the only other video I can find that involves this specific type of bead embroidery that involves beading around a crystal. I'm desperate, what do I search for? Whenever I search on amazon glass/crystal rhinestone it gives me these either circular tiny rhinestones for nails OR it gives me the most beautiful rhinestones BUT they're the sew on ones that have a metal piece attached to the back of them or there's actual holes in the rhinestone. Whenever I finally find some that are flat back glue on they are acrylic and are very ugly they don't have the flash like the ones that are considered sew on. I was getting so frustrated I was typing out crystal glue on rhinestone emerald flat back, and of course Amazon was just getting more and more confused! I just wanted to find some place to buy them in bulk, if that was possible. Is this strictly a craft store only item (I can't find them in Michaels or Joanns either and those are my only "local" stores) something that hasn't become more mainstream like the sew on rhinestones? Or can you buy the sew on ones with the metal casing on the back and before you use them in whatever project you can just remove the back piece? Oh crap, I'm so sorry this ended up being so long!! lol I'm just absolutely in love with this design of rhinestone with the beading coming up around it! It's so beautiful!

  • @AlluringBeader

    Hello, This is a great question. Try searching for Crystal Chatons, Crystal Rivolis and Crystal Fancy Stones. Swarovski and Preciosa brands are some of the most popular. But now that Swarovski has limited their beading offerings, there are a few new players in the game. Also, I would check some of the websites geared towards beaders, such as: Potomac Beads Jill Wiseman Eureka Crystal Beads Art Beads Fire Mountain Gems There are many other beading sites as well. I hope this helps you with your journey. Dee
