This is amazing. I can't believe he is doing the banjo part on piano AND singing at the same time.

Hard to believe there was ever a time when artists sounded just as good live as they did on their recorded songs. Now most artists sound like shit when they are live. Damn it, Billy Joel is one of the greats. Sad that our children will never understand real music like we did.

I was at this show and it was awesome. Billy apologized a bunch of times for the hose lights being so bright. I sooo wish they would release it on DVD. I lost my VHS copy. I had first row behind the stage and was in a few shots.

To me it's very 52nd Street BJ, with elements of "Superstition" and "Pick Up the Pieces". I think "Handball" was just a placeholder lyric and he didn't mean to keep it, but then never found anything else and it stuck. I wish this were released or performed live!!

I like the music critic's comment that that are are a lot of "better songwriter's technically than Billy". Who? John and Paul and that's about it.

I'm not sure, if it's sarcasm from your side, or you really don't know, who's the drummer. Anyway, it's Liberty DeVitto, the absolutely best drummer Billy Joel had. And you bet he's awesome! :)
