My name is Maria and I am a London-based research scientist working in industry 👩🏻🔬 I completed all my education at the University of Birmingham, UK, and I have been at this university for 10 years - from my undergraduate degree, employment, masters degree, and all the way to my PhD.
On this channel, I’ve been posting content about my research life, as well as various student and career advice which could be useful to anybody interested in a career in science.

I wish I had that luxury. I had to research and write a complicated bachelor thesis of 50 pages in 4 weeks. At some point I was running on 2 hours of sleep a day, the final week was no sleep at all, no social life, no work, just suffering and by the end, almost hallucinating. I was down with the flu for two weeks after that. lol. It was a traumatic experience, but I passed.

So Im planning on doing biomedical science, I have few questions Can I do digital & social media marketing & biomedical science? Suppose If I want to be a cosmetic/pharmaceutical chemist/scientist so can I become a person invents beauty items like makeup? So basically can I maKe formulas & start a cosmetic company? Also if I chose biomedical engineering can go into any cosmetic field like inventing beauty proceedures? If can Will I have to specialize in beauty?

If biomedical science is so great then why did ziprecruiter recently ranked it as the 9th most regretted major and 52% of graduates said they regret majoring in it. And why do 70% of graduates in biomedical science have masters degrees but 50% of them are still under employed?
