I bought the PNP model with 2S recommended the motor had no power whatsoever wouldn’t even get up battling a 5 mile an hour wind. Waiting for a new racer star 2212 but I’m wondering if it will even work also trying to get a 4023 motor, can’t find one anywhere close have to order one from China takes about a month

Would you recommend this jet with 4s 2200mah or get one that's intended to fly with that size battery (Xfly F-18 40mm)?

Man that’s a good video as it’s important to have the correct gear with you that helps during the flight. I use a comfortable camping chair with a separate fold up table but I love the build in table on your chair. Would be a really useful setup for a hike and fly scenario as everything is combine into one package. I will have to keep a lookout for one of these chairs…..Rotorflex👍
For the price, it can’t be beat. I ended up using the little built in table lol 😂 it’s comfortable and sturdy too . Most chairs I seen that are built like this cost around $70
Some reported a very hot motor on 3s even to the point of weakening the motor mount to the point of failure. I change my motor to a 850kv Sunnysky,
I put a smaller prop on 8x5 but yeah the motor does come down hot. Thought about drilling a hole in the canopy to get a bit more airflow through the fuselage
Good for beginners? I had a XK800 glider however the quality sucked so I need something new. I tried a Ranger 600 but I hated the handling. I will be buying this next paycheck probably. What is your setup on it? Not sure if I will do PNP or kit jet.
This is very easy to fly and I feel it is beginner friendly. It’s kinda underpowered on 2s but you can run 8x5 Gemfan folding props on 3s with the stock pnp motor and it’s efficient and enjoyable
@@dronepilot260rc thanks for the tips. In the beginning it being kinda underpowered is fine and once I get better at it I will switch out the prop and battery. How does it respond if you only change the battery?
As long as the cg is good it flies well but I find it hard to get the cg on 2s . 3s with the stock pnp prop will cook the motor for sure
I run mine on a 2s2p 3000mah 18650 pack, flys forever but yeah it's underpowered, I think a 7 second autolaunch gets me about 40m altitude 😂
Can you place a link for the prop you’re talking about? I’m also thinking of putting my spectrum motor and ESC from my Conscendo Evo in there. Then I know it’ll fly 3 s

Nice flight buddy! That would make a fantastic long range fpv platform for sure. I have a sunny sky motor on my sky hunter and it must be at least 10 years old and still goes as if it was new, very reliable motors! Keep the great videos coming….Rotorflex👍👍
I can’t wait to really stretch this thing out for sure. I think I’m gonna run some higher pitched 7” props and see if I raise efficiency or not 🍻

It makes flying in 20 mph wind gust easy , I flew my Phoenix S 1600 with the stock motor and it struggled against the wind haha 😆

Yessir the Goblin covers ground quickly. Added a little drag by having the air unit on top but didn’t want to risk overheating it

Mine arrived without the wing stabilizer bar, fun fact if you're into archery an arrow cut to fit seems to be the ticket. Fit snug and the cg seems to be dead on. Will know more tomorrow after the maiden

@@dronepilot260rc I have just bought the kit version of this model so I can choose what to put in it. From what I read and seen in other videos the stock motor and prop are 2S only.
It’s underpowered on 2s but flies well on 3s but the stock motor is just cheap and weak. A RacerStar 4023 850kv is good but it’s strong enough to pull the whole face off the plane lol can’t win for losing

Spokes are holding up pretty well, wondered how the would hold up and they seem to be solid

Thanks! The stock motor burned out and the second motor had enough thrust to pull the whole firewall off so not I fiberglass this motor to the body. It won’t be coming off during flight again haha 😆
Looks great. Ive been flying the zohd talon 250 and thinking of getting the dart also. It's great to be able to legally not need rid. Looking forward to flight footage!
