I watched these Canada Day concerts throughout the year. I use to tape them off the TV! So many memories!

Hi Dunc. First comment. Nice interview with Larry. My memories of Larry- when I landed here from Edmonton in 1971 I met up with Tom McCreight, Don Hinde and Chuck Crawford who asked me to play with their band "The Bluegrass Revival". That band had Larry Good on banjo. He was on banjo for awhile then moved on to play with his brothers. A great experience for me - playing places like The Loretto Inn in - you guessed it - Loretto , Ont. One of those net in front of the stage places. But a good Bluegrass/Country crowd Saturday nights. Heard you mention Don Bird. He is in touch with me once in awhile. We Toronto guys share the same memory base. Cheers Mike - Bluegrass Canada

Mr. JP Cormier shows the beauty, kindness and emotion of our beloved, Stompin' Tom Conner, who my deceased Dad & I at a young age, listened and danced to Stompin' Tom Conners records, it was the 70's and into the 80's but Dad & I still listened to them and loved them!! Thank you Mr. Cormier for your wonderful tributle!

There is nothing liking, sitting around the kitchen table which is where everything happens in a Newfoundland household. You get 2, 3 5 guys with guitars 🎸 a fiddle. Oh did I mention that there could be a few beers he said laughingly. But not a better time could be had. Family, friends and relatives and anyone who happened to drop by. All were always welcome and all were fed. A wonderful province that I am proud to say thanks and where I am from.
