    Not a car guy. What are the cables that attach to the hood for?

  • @Bricen_MSP
    @Bricen_MSP28 күн бұрын

    They are hoodpins and they attach the front of the car to the front of the hood to hold the hood down. A lot of old mopars had them but now they are mostly for style.

    Whoa nice - buy another one if ya want except gas is so stinking expensive now. I'll bet a 440 & six pack in one of those was a head snapper. I would like a 440 some day with all the goodies & those radical Indy aluminum heads. Easy 600 horse. I like the 68 super bee. I had a project 68 super bee once but never got it done. I had to sell everything, all my tools & shop & cars because the property taxes were going up to much. But I'm doing good now I might buy one some day - just a Coronet 68 & clone it. That all original & numbers matching doesn't mean anything to me. To me it's all about enjoying the car. Have a good one -

    That is really nice - i usually dont like modern engines in the old muscle cars - but this one is nice - with a 5 sp manual that is a helluva ride. It could probably go 180 & hold its own with ferraris as long as the rear gears arent too low.

    Me too. From the 30's on into the 70's cars were true works of art. Now unless you spent 1/4 mill you only get a cookie cutter car that looks like everything else or a retro revamp.
