    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: Ardendrus fights an ant infestation and becomes a little bit more of a bored immortal than she was before, then accidentally beats the Ant Boss just a little bit too fast. After that, it's time to fight some orcs -- and then fight Lady Luck for playing games of torment, because apparently finding lapis comes at the cost of gate balancing. Oh, and the Ice Elves are back (not that they ever really left).

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: The orcs are back. Ardendrus finally gets the tough gate they've been looking for, only to accidentally force the boss out into the void with their reality warping powers -- guess they might need a little more practice with those. On the plus side, they probably know how some of those past gates became doomed. On the minus side, well, even a gate break isn't enough to let them get a proper 1v1 with Tusk, the slippery bastard. However... there's always the possibility of an Ant infestation to make things more interesting!

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: Ardendrus does not have time to kill ten thousand demons, or time to kill anything that is not going to give them experience equivalent to ten thousand demons. The Ice Elves may have an issue with her gate-balancing-related ennui, but that's not going to stop her from messing around with the fabric of reality just a little more to try and get more interesting gates. Other than getting another Baruka Dagger and a second Old Key, though, not a lot happens. i have no idea why the Gates are being this rude to you and frankly i think they should knock it off. i am also, the more i watch this mod playthrough, reminded of the gameplay in the modpack Vault Hunters, so i guess that's kind of a suggestion if you're one for a combination tech mod/action RPG modpack? definitely more of an extreme longplay type mod, though. here's hoping the Ice Elves finally let you see some new stuff, or i'm suspecting next episode is going to go along the lines of "beating up every Warden in an ancient city with my bare hands, and also i killed the dragon"

  • @Ardendrus

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: the Wild Hunt re-establish their grip on the fabric of reality with a gate spawned directly in front of Ardendrus's home and a challenge to track down their leader (after reality breaks a few more times). Despite these complications, she's able to fight her way out of the fray and maybe accidentally break reality herself at least once -- and then it's back to the Bad Future to kill -six billion- two hundred demons!

  • @Ardendrus
    @Ardendrus19 күн бұрын

    It really has become a tradition, hasn't it. The Ice Elves show up on our doorstep nearly every episode. No matter how many times they try, they will not stop us though. The amount of demons we have to slay on the other hand... that might put a hold on out progress.

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: FIRE TORNADO! Ardendrus learns a new skill before their now-traditional trek into the Frozen Land to duke it out with some Ice Elves. Afterwards, she brews up some mana potions and heads into a mysterious S-Rank dungeon... and teleports herself directly into a ruined, demonic Bad Future version of her peaceful Gate-spawning jungle village. Here there be demons -- but Ardendrus's training with the Wild Hunt appears to have served them quite well when it comes to the task of demon-hunting.

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: Ardendrus gets some fancy new accessories and starts testing out the AOE capabilities of their favorite spell (Fire Storm). Ice Elves continue to show up in various other dungeons, but it turns out they're a little less intimidating in smaller numbers... and that their tight grasp on the fabric of reality has significantly lessened. The Ice Elf Boss even leaves their dagger behind after a number of defeats at Ardendrus's hands; maybe a token of respect for a worthy rival? It's just in time, too -- the Orcs have entered the fray, and they are coming in _swinging._

  • @Ardendrus
    @Ardendrus22 күн бұрын

    Perhaps the Ice Elves are just a precursor force, meant to test our strength and resolve before the arrival of the more powerful foes on the horizon. We fought through weak willed goblins and mindless golems and undead before, but the Ice Elves are much more cunning and intelligent than any previous foe, and they have marked us as worthy of their full force. And perhaps the Orcs are just wave 2.

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: it keeps happening. Did _I_ curse you or something? I mean, a Red Gate opening up overlooking your literal ingame house is... look, narratively speaking that's the type of thing where I'd ask my cowriter whether or not this was too on the nose. That's... I think you're haunted now? Or maybe one of them? Sorry about that one. Ah -- where was I? Right. On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: the Wild Hunt takes the fight to Ardendrus's doorstep, and she takes the fight right back to theirs, battling her way to victory through thick fog and minor breakdowns in the fabric of reality. After leaving on their own terms, Ardendrus takes out some of that annoyance on some very hapless goblins... and then, after a very long wait, discovers that even the regular dungeon gates are no longer safe from the Ice Elves or the reality-breaking effects surrounding them. Uh oh. i also didn't notice the knockback resistance on the dragon armor! that's... a little scary, considering how much the ice elves are tossing you around with double the knockback resistance _of_ Netherite. huh. wild!

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: no escape! No escape! No escape! Ardendrus enters another Red Gate without knowing and goes for round 2 with the Wild Hunt -- apparently they're not done with her just yet. After defending herself once more, she settles in to clear a few more gates and hunt down more lapis... the latter of which turns out to be the more difficult task. i did double-check, since i was worried i'd given you misinformation, but no -- lapis generates up to 2 veins per chunk that can be exposed to air as close to y=0 as it can get, and then generates up to 4 veins that cannot be exposed to air and range evenly on y levels anywhere from -64 to 64. it seems like Lady Luck is just kind of being a jerk about lapis.

    It seems that Lady Luck has a weird sense of humor. I can have as many resources as I want, plenty of cool artifacts, and golden apples for days (including enchanted ones), but only as long as I get them while failing to find lapis. The odds say I should find them, luck says no.

    On today's episode of Solo Enchanting: Ardendrus talks strategy and prepares to train to defeat the Red Gate... only to find themself still entangled in the wintery domain that's been giving them trouble. However, one thing is more powerful than the physical prowess of the Ice Elves -- namely, the power of sniping things from outside their aggro range (although Fire Storm is pretty helpful, too). After defeating the dungeon's boss, she delves into the mines again, only to find that the Deep Dark also isn't quite done with her, as the sounds of the sculk trail behind her well outside of the biome. Luckily though, the benefits of the levels gained from all that sculk follow as well, as they're able to get quite the upgrade in survivability by buffing their armor! that music you heard was Ancestry by Lena Raine, and is a track that plays while you're in caves with the Deep Dark biome! if i had to hazard a guess as to why it followed you out of the biome, i'd say it probably has to do with having used a waypoint to teleport home -- the music just kinda kept playing since the track had already started and you hadn't changed dimensions or anything. SPOILERY GAME MECHANICS TALK: Protection compounds more and more the more armor you have enchanted with it; if you put Protection IV on all your gear, you'd have a whopping 64% damage reduction against everything that isn't starvation, the Void, or Warden lasers. as for knockback resistance -- you'd need to change out of the dragon armor and into some Netherite, that's the only armor type that has it.

    Training and preparations are well underway, and soon, we return to the land of frost and snow to put a stop to the brewing storm! I wasn't sure how well the enchants would work against the mod's enemies, but they seem to work pretty well! We'll have to keep working towards getting our gear as strong as possible for our ever strengthening foes. That makes sense with the music, it definitely fits the vibe of the Deep Dark.

    In today's episode of Solo Enchanting: Ardendrus is sent to a mysterious icy realm during what should have been a mundane book shopping spree and finds herself pursued by what one can only assume is the Wild Hunt themselves (that's what I get for implying something spooky was going to happen last time) before finding that the portal that lured her in was actually a Red Gate disguised as an ordinary dungeon gate. After that, it's time to recover and seek out a way to defeat these foes! Ardendrus tries out new weaponry before searching the land's caves for ways to make their existing gear stronger, meeting the formidable force of the Deep Dark's Warden head-on with her trusty spear in hand. (fun fact! everyone has their Roman Empire, mine happens to be... well, mine actually happens to be storytelling in Minecraft and game mediums and some related MCYT fandoms, but i do also have vague approximate knowledge of some various fairy tales and similar myths! so... i don't think i'm going to be particularly normal about the first bit of this episode. might have to draw something about it, who knows!) also congrats on the 3.1% roll on that enchanted golden apple! they're pretty rare in dungeon chests, your luck is PHENOMENALLY weird indeed. it's a couple of episodes out of date when it comes to advice, but -- lapis doesn't spawn exposed to air as frequently, taking a hoe and mining up a lot of the sculk could be a good way to expose some of it just under the surface?

  • @Ardendrus
    @Ardendrus27 күн бұрын

    That was a bit of shock. I entered that portal expecting a small corridor with familiar enemies, not a full blown arctic tundra with enemies that fling me around like a ragdoll! I think that was the game punishing us for getting too comfortable with the grind cycle, and it's tools were true forces of nature! The deepest of colds and the darkest of nights, sent to block our progress, but in the end they will not prevail! I knew that diamonds had been changed to not spawn with exposed air as often, but I didn't know that the same was true for lapis. I'll have to keep that hoe trick in mind!

I'm trapped in the narrative now! No escape! ...Although, something about those gold blocks feels... ominous. Familiar. Between those and the fog... No, those are soul torches, not redstone torches. You're probably safe... one can only hope he's not here. but all jokes aside, i am quite glad you've been enjoying the comments as much as i've been enjoying the series! i do like a little hack-and-slash gameplay and like i said a while back, this one definitely hit the spot. (also, there's... technically no incorrect way to pronounce my username? my name's solar, so i say it "sol-ar-gee," but "sol A.R.G." is also correct and "sol argh" is so funny i can't not enjoy it) depending on how long the series is gonna go, villager setups with stuff like Mending/Sharpness/Fire Aspect might prove more useful and reliable. could mean a more stable food source as well. food for thought, i guess

    this has nothing to do with attention span it's actual genuine criticism he's obviously a fairly new youtuber the last thing he needs is yes men like you

    I can see where you're coming from. After looking back, I probably kept in more of the busy work/prep work than I needed to. It didn't have anything to do with retention time though, I just got distracted rambling about how things worked instead of just showing it.

    @@samiralae9739 bruh i Have made videos for a long time, I enjoy content like this instead of hyper edited ''popular'' content, ofc there is room for a lot of improvement with what to cut, I just dont agree with the stalling part

    Yeah, for a fairly new mod, there's a lot going for it. It could use some balancing in places, but the models are excellent and it has a pretty good system for the stats and shop

    I bet the guild system could make for some fun competition in multiplayer, seeing who could make the strongest guild.

    Thanks for playing! Very informative and I'm glad you had fun! Definitely some communication I need to clear up. I'll try to make some more tooltips go a layer deeper so Power Pendant's effect isn't a mystery! If you destroy the Drosera's they won't actually damage you. I was a bit worried when you took 9 damage, hehe. But you got through so it's okay!

    Ooh, that makes sense. I guess I added some extra drama with that misunderstanding! But yeah, I really enjoyed what I've played through so far! I still need to play through the rest of the demo, but I'll definitely be on the lookout for the full version!

    Well, that's quite a poor turn of event for RWBY as whole. In a way you could also gain some views with what's happening, hell that's how I got there. Aside from that, the video itself is entertaining because you are, keep persevering 'cuz you definitely seem to have what it takes to keep people interested, with a bit more experience you'll surely be really good at it, especially because you've only been doing it for a year. And you know what? Ima sub'

    I really appreciate the words of encouragement. I try pretty hard to make these as fun to watch as possible, so it's nice to see people enjoy them, and I plan to keep putting in the work! Also, RIP Rooster Teeth.
