  Hey everyone. Currently I drive Honda Civic 8gen diesel hatchback (2006), specs: 2.2 i-CTDi (FK3), 103 kW (140 hp), torque: 340 Nm (250 lb-ft), 6 speed manual transmission. I drive mostly on highways fully loaded (4 adults, luggage space full). Usually I drive on highways at 137 km/h (85 mph) which is car speedometer value. Car consumption in this scenario is about 7 liters (1,8 gallons). Car is still agile in this scenario and I can accelerate easily if someone gets too close. I have no need to drive faster unless someone endangers me. How does new Honda Civic Honda Civic e:HEV (2liters) compare to my old Civic? 1. What is the consumption in scenario I described above? 2. Does new Civic still have enough agility to accelerate in my scenario? 3. If you ever drove my old car, do you feel any loss of agility compared to new the new one at high speeds? Any insights would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

  this should be how electric car works... petrol. engine to charge battery... it's very fuel efficient than hybrid n easier for long distance n no need to worry about charging

  The 3 cylinder in only to charge the battery and not sending any power to wheels. That's what the electric motor does. This is e power, not hybrid mate.

  As far as stock Q50s go the Hybrid is the quickest model next to the RS 400. Stock for stock they will put up better acceleration times than a 3.7 or a 3.0T in “Silver Sport” trim. As long as the hybrid system is charged and functional anyway. Definitely a sleeper. It would have been really sweet if they used the VQ37+ hybrid drive vs the VQ35 but I’m sure they didn’t want their eco hybrid model being quicker than their top shelf RS lol. Once you tune any of the VR30 cars it’s no competition; they’re definitely top dog after that. Crazy they use the regular 180 speedo for km though because even stock these cars have a lot more top end than that.

  Got one of these they ain't slow, remove deadner, resonator, aircon, spare tyre, heavy ass navigation for android stereo, swap mags for 16rpf1 205 55 tyre save 6 pounds a corner, skunk drop in cam, remap tune, header exhaust some cold air to a k and n inbox and boom fun family looking car

  That's actually some pretty decent performance for a N/A 1.6 with less then 130 Hp at the crank. Goes to show how much it being in a light weight car really helps. In a much heavier modern car an engine like that would struggle to even reach a 10 second 0-100 km/h.
