    I find those Tube Driver pedals are like the Nord Lead keyboards... Depending on when they were made they can have their own personality. I thought it was just me but I've come across a few people with them and they all say the same thing. I also prefer the older digital delays. So much more warmer. Surprised to see how you utilize your EQ pedal. When i had my GE7 it never occurred to me to use it like that. Now i wish i still had it lol. Sound great. Thanks for sharing!

    Is digital delay Better Sounding than analog delay? Because I thought analog delay was more natural

  • @HollywoodRareGuitars
    @HollywoodRareGuitars3 күн бұрын

    It depends on the type of tone you are using the delay for. For a more distorted sound or metal digital works better. For cleaner less distorted sounds analog can be great like Pink Floyd etc These older DD-2 pedals are a warmer digital tone which is the best of both worlds I think.

    Thanks man, really appreciate your thoughts! Yeah, after seeing your videos, I got GAS to have either the 1959HW or the 1987x. I just didn't know if the new/reissue ones were still good as the old ones. I also agree with you, I feel like other companies haven't nailed the Marshall tone yet ;) Between the 1987x (50W) and the 100, which one would advise? As far as post phase master volume mod you mentioned, I use the Fayette Power Station PS2 for my Bray 4550 (Plexi amp) to not only control the overall volume but also the be able to get effects like reverb and delay. So, if I use the PS2 with Marshall, would I still need to have the post phase master volume mod done? Will definitively get the Mr. Scary mod too! Thanks!

  • @HollywoodRareGuitars

    @@mesaboogie2007 power station should be fine without master mod. I have another 1987x on the way. It’s almost as good and as loud as the 1959hw. Also effects loop is usable. Look at my most recent videos of how to get 3 channels out of it with an eq pedal trick.
