  @@racinggamechallenge Ahh, I played Toca 1 a lot on ps1, then I had a cd-rom of Toca 2 that never worked on the family computer 😥 I tried it many times cause the front cover looked so cool to me but nope, even worse now you say it was the best 😅

  Ah same. I have a PC copy but have never got it to work. TOCA 1 is brilliant though! Perhaps just a little less refined than TOCA 2 as you'd expect from an older game. You'll have to grab yourself a copy of TOCA 2 for PS1! 🏁

  Yeh, I played the first 2 games way more back in the day, not really sure why. Think cos it didn't have official BTCC. But it has way more other stuff. Game plays great 🏁

  The graphics are quite impressive for a PS1 game, especially considering the distant view and minimal object popping. Many other racing games struggle with trees and other objects suddenly appearing close to the camera, which I always find distracting.

  The game is pretty impressive all round! The PS2 had already been out for half a year by the time this game was released, so you'd expect this to be maxing out the PS1's capabilities. Thanks for the comment 🏁

  SInce I got hands on F1 2000 Championship Edition, I prefer that one because it feels like huge DLC of this game. For ex. real life liveries (not this pre season testing one) and car models etc.

  @@racinggamechallenge Turns out I lied.. it was best out of 40 laps (round 3 +4). No dry run yet as I am just playing through a full championship to get reacquainted with the game and watching your time trials along the way. 🏆🏁

  12 wins is the best I've done on stock racing. Pine hills easy the 1st race. You have to be damn near perfect to win the second. Chalk canyon fairly easy bc of the downhill turn. Ccr easiest wins by far. Sca kind of tough because the best place to pass is after the start finish line so you need to be in 1st on the last lap. Sail valley run good lap times and everyone else crash all around. Liberty city was always tough because the top 3 will run consistently good lap times. I've never came close to winning the last race.

  Wheel for these time trials! Has really taken the game to another level. The wheel makes it so much more playable and immersive. Have you got a wheel for the PS1? 🏁

  @@racinggamechallengeyeah I do, I actually owned one back in the day and recently found a new one on eBay, I actually have the PSone and the LCD screen. I would love to use a steering wheel though I think that would be an absolute mission finding one.

  not a good racing in the slightest. AI always make a room for your moves. YOu would be dead many times in TOCA 1/2 driving like that

  Certainly isn't a proper sim, seems made to be 'playable', for the modern gamer with no attention span. Don't mind some of the scripted crashes though hah! The old TOCA games are way harder for sure! Had to try this car though! 🏁

  @@racinggamechallenge Mostly Assetto Corsa Competitione and rFactor2, used to play a long time iRacing, but with my work i felt it was a to much of a pricetag for the time i can play, often had to skip races due work and even haven't played race sims in a while too as my job demanded so much of me, i was often too tired to play intensive games. But now that i getting slowly near my retirement (yes i'm THAT old), and start to work less hours and do more now managment instead, i am picking it up again, and atm even waiting for my first DD Moza r5 wheel to be delivered replacing my acient Logitec G25 :D...

  We had access to a lecture room at work and installed it on 4 PCs and you could play it over a LAN like you could with Doom and Heretic. Great game

  Absolute classics! The first PS1s came with either Wipeout, Ridge Racer or Destruction Derby, brilliant games. Got plenty of TOCA 1 on my channel, check it out 😊🏁

  I miss the good old days of Console gaming. Back when you OWNED the games you played and the developers put all of the Easter eggs and extra content like special cars in the game and the only requirement to get them was to complete certain goals within the game itself or use cheat codes to unlock the cars early in the geme
