why wouldnt you have swapped out the video card prior to assuming it may be a dead motherboard or CPU? thats a lot of diagnostics bypassed, that is a real rookie error right there...you went round all the doors bar that one...the rest of the video was ok but anyone watching will be reliant on you to work through all the proper stages before reaching a decision to remove the CPU or motherboard

Great Mr.Tim. I have very small question, my Lenovo legion5's fan spinning for short time when my laptop bootup and then stop for little bit and then work normally , is that normal process or abnormal and my fans should always run from bootup to shutdown without stopping

Dead/Problem memory channel. Could be at the CPU, the board between, or the memory module. Test CPU and RAM.

Loved the video Tim. My screen has been flickering and Im wondering if its the actual screen or the ribbon flex cable. Is there a way to find that out? The screen seems fine when it's not flickering but when it does, it goes bright and sometimes white (picture is good but colour/brightness/saturation changes). Cheers for any help given or not. Appreciate your amazing run through of the replacement.

Great video. It would be helpful to state that in order to install OTHER versions, all you have to do is type SUDO and then drop the installer into the terminal window. That's a lot easier than typing that out.

It is strange that it will not allow one to clone M.2 SATA to M.2 NvME which is something that if dealing with an upgrade to a new system you might encounter. I wonder if the non booting is because Windows does not see the recovery partition at the end of the drive. I guess using partition manager software one could move the recovery partition to the end and add the additional free space to the existing partition. Macrium reflect does have an option in their software to fix non booting drives which I have used on several occasions.

Yeah my fans have been screwed up recently, took it to get repaired and they wanted my password to get in, which I really wasn’t crazy about. They said it was to make sure everything was working ok, but I didn’t see how that was a fan problem. Ntm it had gotten to the point where it made that sound just from turning it on which I told them
