  Batman, originally created in 1939, is a character I personally prefer in his original form. Back then, he was a creepy, shadowy figure who blended into the night and was genuinely feared by criminals. He was a true detective and a human hero, relying on his intellect, detective skills, and human abilities to fight crime. This made him a complex character, grounded in realism and intrigue. Today's modern version of Batman, however, has diverged significantly from that original concept. While he has evolved in many ways, incorporating advanced technology and often being portrayed as almost superhuman, he has lost some of the qualities that made him unique. The essence of Batman as a master detective and a human hero has been overshadowed by the more fantastical elements of his persona. For me, the original Batman, with his gritty detective work, human vulnerabilities, and eerie presence, remains the definitive version of the Dark Knight.

  This is one of my all time favorite DC books! The series was totally different than any other book being published at the time. I really hope we get a volume 2 which would complete the series run! 🤞💙👍🏼

  Back in the day I sat up all by myself at 7 years old to see this on late night television. It blew my tiny little mind, awesome movie. Nigel Terry, Jack Palance. Good stuff.

  I’m going in blind on this one! The art looks awesome! I love Rick Remender’s Indie stuff. I own most of that. Based off that and hearing from the hype from everyone, I think it’ll turn out ok!? Can’t wait to read my copy! I didn’t get the variant. Kind of a let down with the DM variant. Original is 🔥 though imo.
