We are Hennie and Joseph and we love to go to places with water around. We are traveling as much as possible and want to share our experiences with you. We visit towns, seaside resorts and beaches in many different countries.

We like to know the history of the places we visit and we look at how water and place are connected. Then we show the place through a walk and provide information about the present. We hope you like it. Please subscribe and help us to reach more people through our channel.

    Kijkduin was so beautiful and charming before they tore everything down and then made it look like every other faceless, expensive place. I used to love going there; we went every year, sometimes twice a year. But I wouldn't go anywhere near the place today. Way, way, way too commercial! We now go to Duindorp beach.

    Unfortunately, the new Kijkduin cannot be compared with the atmosphere of the old Kijkduin. They are now almost finished with construction and I hope that things will improve in the coming years.

    Thank you for you message. Joseph is original from Trinidad, but is living in Germany for almost 30 years. Hennie (that is me) is from the Netherlands. Our spoken language is usually English, but sometimes also German. I record the videos and yes, I have an accent.

    Valt best mee.

    Another wonderful video with awesome research. My Dad’s American 86th Blackhawk Division passed through Heidelberg during their return from just north of Salzburg back to LeHarve, France. My wife and I will be off to Brugge in a week. Last year we visited the Alpine Region of Bavaria, Switzerland and Austria . Hope to visit Heidelberg sometime. I enjoy your new found Channel !

    I hope this message finds you well! I'm reaching out because I've been following your incredible content on KZread and I'm truly impressed by the quality of your channel. As a follower of your KZread channel, I've noticed some areas where there could be opportunities for improvement to further elevate your content and engage your audience even more effectively. Here are a few key points I'd like to highlight: 1. Limited Audience Interaction 2. Unoptimized Thumbnails and Titles 3. Neglecting SEO and Metadata 4. Inadequate Promotion and Marketing 5. Ignoring Analytics Insights Addressing these areas could help take your channel to new heights and enhance your overall success. Gran Canaria in Spanish and it is also well written in English Grand Canary / Gran Canary and also in French Grande Canarie or Portuguese Gran Canária. It is the island that gives its name to the Canary Islands archipelago. Being the Third Island in Height and Extension of the Archipelago, the Adjective "Grand" is not for being Large as if Grand Cayman or Grand Bahama use it. Not the Great is because of its large canids. During the conquest, the island was only called "Canary Island" and the archipelago "Islas de Canaria" that happened to be the island of Canaria that had the largest and most terrifying canids, in addition to the aborigines of This island had an evil being called Tibicena, which were terrifying dogs that even the Canarians of the time feared them. From here the island became "Isla de la Gran Canaria" and the Archipelago began to adopt the plural of "Islands". Canary Islands" but Gran Canaria would have the Gran and only the Gran for its Canes. That is why our Gran Canaria Basketball team, which represents us at the top of Spanish basketball and almost at the top of Europe, has Granky as the mascot and it is a Presa Canario Dog, the native animal of the island and which appears holding the shield of the Canary Islands on the Flag of the archipelago. Today Gran Canaria is divided into 2 geological halves: the South zone, which is the oldest, and the North Zone, which is the newest. The island is divided in two because two macro volcanoes rose in its center, the extinct Roque Nublo Volcano, whose caldera is what we have left and which is the town of Tejeda inside, hence why it is renamed "Caldera de Tejeda". "and the other Volcano was that of Las Tirajanas, which covered what is today "The Depression of Las Tirajanas" and curiously, the two municipalities that have the "de Tirajana" is because this volcanic depression passes through their municipalities. Surely on a map you will see that the island seems to have been bitten. Well, that bite fell into the ocean due to erosion and the former Roque Nublo Volcano. They say that Gran Canaria is flat but it also has mountains. This is because Gran Canaria is between two erosion processes, which is why it is the only island in the archipelago that has high mountains of up to almost 2,000 and plains at sea level. And if you want to see the primitive Gran Canaria, the original one, so to speak, go to the South since it is the first area that was formed, although the Original Volcano today "Can't be seen." It's a lie if you see what it was in the municipality of Mogán we have the natural monument of Los Azulejos since that mountain is part of the original primitive Volcano.

    Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands, The Hague is the seat of government and home of the royal family.

  • @Beachesandrivers
    @Beachesandrivers10 ай бұрын

    Hi. Thanks for your comment. You are right, but there are different opinions on this. The constitution says nothing about what the capital is. The only reference is that the king must be crowned in the capital Amsterdam. In the documents that made Amsterdam the capital, it is not said that The Hague is no longer the capital. Some historians therefore assume 2 capitals in the Netherlands.
