Sounds much like its predecessor... a sort of generic European thing, lots of treble and bubble-and-squeak mutations, while the 8ft tone is thin and unsatisfying. In that dry acoustic, what is needed is a Hope-Jones style orchestral organ with big heavy basses, high wind pressures and absolutely zero mixtures or mutations. To be fair, the flutes and Vox Humana on this organ are rather nice, but it is an instrument which, like its predecessor, would sound much happier in a reverberant church.

Awesome! I have built houses and furniture for over 30 years. I wish I could work on Pipe organs. A little of everything involved in this construction. ANd the complete product is so beautiful sounding with power and sweetness. A truly rewarding occupation.

Wonderful! Love it.. Nice to hear the organ play something not so serious or liturgical. Wolfgang Sieber is able to bring out so many different facets of the instrument. The combination with the horns is a fantastic idea.

Sehr geehrte Orgelbauer .Ich hsbe 1960 bis 1964 bei Kuhn AG die Orgelbaulehre absolviert. Heute sehe ich in ihrem Video, wie sich die Arbeitsweise entwickelt hat. Ich verfolge gerne die neuen Werke und staune über die modernen Prospekte in neuen Konzertsälen auf der ganzen Welt. Bin gespannt, wie die neue Tonhalleorgel aussehen wird.

Besten Dank für das veritable Kompliment zur Family: so ist es nämlich! Zur Frage GeKa: der Komponist des Schäfli-Schottisch war Gabriel Käslin; seine Zeitgenossen nannten Ihn dazumals (1868-1951) einfach GK, phonetisch ausgeschrieben also GeKa. Diese und weitere Hinweise sind im Abspann des Videos zu lesen: Gute Grüsse und viel Freude!
