Set yourself a monthly spending budget, based on your income, monthly spending allowance, reoccurring expenses etc. Now instead of making these purchases with your debit card, use a credit card and have it set on auto pay to pay the full balance each month. Its money you will spend anyways, the only difference is you will build credit, have some form of protection against fraud and you will avoid interest by paying off the balance each month. Its only dangerous if you're financially irresponsible, impulsive and spend above your budget aka means. Idk why people treat credit cards as taboo, its simple, the balance should be wiped clear each month, your available credit will increase each time you do that, lets not kid ourselves in todays society you need credit, most people aren't buying houses, vehicles in cash.
