    Since I’ve seen patches rebuild I’ve been curious what you had in mind for all the space behind your living space. Nice job getting rid of a ton of tail swing! Admittedly I only seen a few of the Patches rebuild. I still need to watch probably the first 24 or so videos of patches rebuild. Personally I’d hate someone knowing more about me than I know about them. With that in mind, sorry if I bothered you at the red light today. The story I wanted to share with you is a small world story. A few months ago my father sent me a link to a KZread video of a guy that he’s been following for around 4 years. He said out of all the people he’s following this guy is the only one he’s sent $. He also said this guy lives on on some property in the country somewhere close to I5. That’s not exactly what what he said but because this is public I’m just saying what he said led me to believe you resided about an hour away from where I live. So, I’m watching this video he sent me and I’m thinking this guy lives in an area that is really similar to my area. It wasn’t until quite far in that video until I realized that you seriously live close to my town. All that isn’t really important to the story that I wanted to share with you. The small world part of the story is that my father not only enjoys your videos and is impressed with you skills but the fact that for the last 4 years he’s been enjoying your videos from the northern coast of Brazil! I just wanted you to know that you’re reaching people from quite a distance. Personally, I couldn’t believe he’s been watching you for years and you’re probably just 20-25 minutes away from me.

    I say build a wood deck bed like you see in the old trucks. Out back you can use as truck bed when you need to haul something or use as a porch! Keep it up Nate you getting there.

    Have you considered putting down some 2x6 or 2x8 planks like you would find on the deck of a trailer instead of plywood?

  • @ClassALiving
    @ClassALiving3 күн бұрын

    Ya but I think that's going to be a lot more expensive, just getting this RV put back together as fast and as cheap as possible and on the road, I plan on making a bunch of modifications once I get to the home base.

    Might should have put those hose clamps on facing down so in the future if you need to take one off you can get to the hex head with a nut driver rather than having to somehow reach over them from underneath the RV.

    Thinking your air intake line might be a little restrictive? Kinda looks like it will be inhaling through a straw. The install is nice tho 👌

    Patches is looking good ! It wont be long till You get to drive it again . If You use OSB or practical board it wont hold up to wet weather very good. If I was doing it I would use 1/2 or 3/4 inch marine plywood , it is a little expensive but with a good coat of paint it will last many years and with 3/4 inch You wont have to put in much bracing under it. As hillbillyrver357 said If You come to Quartzsite for the winter camping season You will be able to get tons of work ! If You come be sure to look Me up!

    Are you going to have built in external port tire/air inflator on the back by the tank? Be nice for tires or tools.

    Regarding the deck, what about screwing down 1 1/4" pressure treated decking crosswise without a subframe to get you on the road. You could use the steel to construct short walls like a landscaper's trailer.. could even hinge the sides & a tailgate.. Just a thought.. You're almost there.. good job! Dennis WB8DT

    Nice work, you should use bulkhead fittings to prevent your blue fittings and hose getting chewed up going down the road. Iam a retired diesel mechanic and trailer mechanic did many of these over 45 yrs

    Nice, whole chunk of weight gone from out back there. Little bit easier to manoeuvre around too. A wood panel bed on the back would be good, save weight too - plus it looks cool :) Could put some hinged access hatches in.

    As they used to say “keep on truckin” man! just a random thought since patches has that mad max-ww2 bomber look going on maybe knock off loose rust and shoot with some Matte or low gloss clear coat.. get the $20 harbor freight paint gun it has pretty decent reviews look for a discount auto paint supply store there’s usually one in every bigger town/city and get a gallon or 2 of clear as it would probably be more cost effective than rattle cans. Then if you decide to put a color on it your not having to cover up anything. Also one good thing is if you do end up going south to the desert rust isn’t a big problem there.

    Tbi is superior in everyway notice how many old timers want to put holley snipers on there old cars. Why do u think there is a lack of content of tbi cars "will it run" videos because people are still driving them.
