I wish the new employee hadn't lost her job. Instead she should not have been working in the area alone. Several trips means there should have been two zookeepers. Plus why would they give her such a dangerous place to work alone. New people usually get less dangerous assignments or a senior to work with them.

Once I had to work a double shift, but my cat's feeder ran out of food. I was planning to clean and refill her feeder. She kept a lookout for me at the window, but when she couldn't wait any longer. She went to get the fresh bag of food. Pulled it to the floor a opened a small corner to get some food. Upon our joyful homecoming she looked concerned about the bag on the floor. I saw the small tear and her sad look. I turned to her and thanked her for handling the food problem so well. She lit up and jumped for joy for my understanding of the problem. I told her I didn't want her to be hungry when I had to stay. From then on, it became her special emergency spot for her food bag. LOL 🐱😻😸

I believe we as humans, including top scientists, naturalists & zoologists, have grossly underestimated the capabilities animals have to actually "love". & their ability to enjoy real love through affection & intimacy. Personally? We're all created by God... He has promised to care for every little sparrow. And said "are you not worth more, than many sparrows?" & if He's caring for these animals, how silly are we, to think they don't know His voice:)
