    Yes but leucine also stimulates muscle protein synthesis which is what your trying to achieve by taking extra protein. So may as you said we should always say increase protein, but do so with strength training.

    Absolutly clear… one might be older than the other, they might be men or women , what race r they? … n I think the most important two things might be: how healthy r they? Cos healthy non diabetics can also have a bit of an insulin resistance, right? N the other thing: did they watch them after n during eating? How much were they moving n fidgeting after or during a meal… how stressed r they… There r much things about different glucose responses that we already know, so why r u making a 2024 news flash out of that? The only thing you’re really telling people with that is: it doesn’t matter u might be able to eat that cookie without a big issue ( I m sure this is what the most people want to hear) 😢

    There is still a very real question of whether fiber is actually helpful or harmful overall. Still to see anyone not eating fiber having issues obviously related to not eating fiber. It can be argued no bread is worth eating, that is strictly an opinion.

    I am 39 and the only hack I found very effective is fasting and reduce/cut sugar. At 173cm, I went from 92kg to 73kg in two years. I still indulge in sweets, cakes and pastries but now in moderation and occasionally.

    When the ‘nutrition information’ on the side of a package states the amount of sugar added, or states ‘no added sugar’, does the word ‘sugar’ refer to any of the 262 forms of sugars or does it only refer to what is commonly known as ‘table sugar’?

  • @jumpercable20

    Since I removed fructose from my diet (i have less then 4g per day, most of which comes from 8oz of homebrew kombucha per day) my hsCRP is now 0.9. I suspect that I actually have considerably less than 4g per day, but I can confidently state it is less than that. The reason it is hard to be exact is because kombucha brews vary in how much sugar remains. Sometimes the brew is very tart (thats what I aim for) amd sometimes it is a bit less tart than I wanted.

  • @kstoeb
    @kstoeb2 күн бұрын

    It's a pitty. The man has done so much science and information concerning the role of fructose in our modern diseases. But for some reason he never liked the low-carb idea. (And although I don't like that "argument", he himself never looked like he had nailed the nutrition (and sports) side of life.) The whole argument he is making here is made up. First of all: You can observe the complete opposite when fat-adapted people eat that one pizza. Because they have _no_ insulin stored, they are kind of 'functional insulin resistance' for a short time. Then the pancreas wakes up and produces the needed insulin. And secondly: If your blood sugar goes up because of that one "cheat-meal", Carb-burning will immediately be prioritised by the cells. They don't unlearn it. (As someone else already said: This makes evolutionary sense for the use of occasional fruit.) To do him justice, he is right in one point: If you're doing a half-hearted high fat medium carb diet, than you're probably in second worst space (topped only by high fat high carb ;-)

    Ok, so how would this be different than nature limiting sugars to certain times and places? The insulin response will return if you eat carbs two or three days in a row, you certainly don’t lose the ability for it to do so.
