Jeremiah Trotter has a fascinating backstory. He is basically a real-life Alvin Mack (The Program). Dude supposedly came from the most rural-ass part of the holler, down south. I guess that's where the celebration chop comes from tho. Dude spent his whole childhood chopping trees with his paps to put food on the table. Ended up being a great form of training and when they finally got him on the football field, he was basically a teenager in the body of an adult lumberjack.

That rural-ass town is called Hooks, Texas; home of the Hooks Hornets. It was definitely a "Friday Night Lights" kind of town growing up there in the 90's. Jeremiah Trotter (Eagles), Wilbert Brown (Chargers), and Billy Simms (Lions) were all notable NFL players that started in Hooks football program.

@Frnks_N_ Bnz Hooks was pretty good back in the day. I played at Dekalb. I was one year behind Trotter, same position. When we played Hooks that year, we got blown out so bad, they let Jeremiah got play running back for a bit at the end of the game. When I tackled him, I knew he was different from us mere mortal kids. The dude was built like a full grown man. The Trotters were a well respected family in Northeast Texas. All hard workers, especially the father.

Trotter was great as long as he knew exactly what you wanted him to do. The Eagles coaches knew him and what his strengths were. When he went to play for Washington they didn’t know what to do with him and his production went down. Then he came back to Philly and his numbers went back up. Lol.
