    It's not usual to do so, but it's always possible. Best practice is to keep your profile on private. Most of the investigation consists of background checks and interviewing friends and family to determine your moral character.

    It depends on if you want to extend. Typically Auto E-4 requires a 2 year extension, with out it you will need to wait for time in rate.

    I have a very important question, so I did JROTC for 2 years in high school, and I also have technical college credit because I did exactly $1,080 hour, I wonder if I will go in as an E-2 or an E-3

    You'll need the minimum of an Associates degree.

    No. All classes in boot camp are directly related to the navy. Depending on your Rate you may need to do some Math in A School

    Hi, just found you on KZread. I was in marine 2 years ago and now apply for Navy Dive. Do you need to do waiver again for that ? Do you know how long it take to get approved by waiver and I will be 30 this November. Thanks

    It’s what you make of it to be honest. A lot of people I know loved deployment and want to be deployed again, whatever you make of it :)

    My issue is. I formerly (Less than 6 months ago) smoked Marijuana and would be considered a frequent user. Could I still get a TS with that being the case or waiting 6 month etc if that is a thing?

    As long as the Nerve Damage doesn't affect mobility or your ability to do normal things you might be fine. The best thing you can do is contact a recruiter.

    As an E-5 with 4 years of service and BAH, I take home between 40-70k a year depending on taxes and other pay incentives.

    Background checks are used to find criminal history and credit history. As long as you have never been convicted of a crime as an adult, or aren't in severe debt, your Background check should be clean.

    my dad (Vietnam vet} went to gunners mate school great lakes in 81-82 made Chief in 83 when he was 31, winter sucks there, fishing is great on the jetty, didn't miss that place after being stationed at Vancouver WA, and moved to San Diego , CA perm

    I’m going to MEPS tomorrow and qualify and want to do MA. But the problem is I have hearing loss in my left ear. I was wondering if SPACT could possibly increase my chances of getting MA while in the Navy. I sign my contract tomorrow and stuff I’m just worried MA won’t be there despite me qualifying.

    My friend had hearing loss and he was a pact seamen, they told him as a pact seamen you need can’t have bad hearing so they gave him the open rate Logistics Specialist in boot camp. I suggest not choosing Pact seamen, I heard bad things about it and I am Pact seamen aswell

    No. You will get tested at MEPS during processing.

    Thanks for being in the service. Wish you saw the amount of my peers that picked on me back in HS. That said...someone I met who's also in the Navy, every time he walks past me it's difficult not to smile but he's never noticed. This woman that also serves, it is difficult to tell if they're together or if when he smiles the way he does at me if it means what I think it means...always hopeful though. TY again!

    The length of your contract is determined by what job you sign for. The navy offers 3, 4, and 6 year contracts depending on your rate. If most 3 contracts are through the PACT Seaman program.

    Yes. If you don't you may be held back, or if you fail multiple times you will be discharged. The tests aren't difficult though so don't stress
