    Please can i give normal custard and add sugar for my 1yr&3months old baby?

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 ай бұрын

    It depends on if you are already adding sugar to the baby's other food. Custard powder has sugar, the milk is also sweet. You dont need to add sugar because baby will barely notice.

    My 9 months baby loves custard without Sugar

  • @simpleyparenting

    If babies must have it at this stage, it's best without sugar because commercial custard has added sugar in it.

  • @simpleyparenting

    I will suggest you wait till 12months+ before giving your baby food with added sugar. Another alternative is cornstarch/cornflour, most commercial custard are cornstarch with added sugar. Just a month away 😊

    Found out my son allergic to carrots

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 жыл бұрын

    I'm sorry to hear that. Good you caught it on time. You can change the carrot out for parsnip, it won't be the same taste but it has similar nutrients. Hopefully your little grows out of it.

    Can I give it to my baby 5 months old?

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 жыл бұрын

    Hello Keo, No, especially because the recipe has egg yolk. The recommended age for offering egg to babies is usually from 6 months (gov health dietary guidelines).

    You can add any other vegetable (parsnip can replace carrot, only vege that comes to mind right now) but the taste will be different. You can also give the sweet potato and egg yolk only if there is no carrot

    Thanks for Sharing. Every mum is usually sourcing for healthy choices for their children and not many are available in stores. Homemade all the way. Is it possible to freeze some of these to store away for working mums?.

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 жыл бұрын

    Yes, i actually made it for batch storage. It can stay frozen for upto 3 months or store for upto 72 hours in the fridge. If there is no good power supply to the freezer or refrigerator, its advisable to make these food in 1 serving portion

    Hi very good puree .can babies digest this during night times I mean at 9 pm or something??

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 жыл бұрын

    It depends, just make sure to feed about 1 - 2 hours before sleep to avoid digestion issues. Ideally, baby should be sleeping already at this time (9pm) but I understand babies differ.

    'Babies below 1 shouldn't have *processed* sugar, its not good for them' 👈 can be really hard but there is a way out to make that oat, cereal or food more palatable on baby's taste bud....try this natural sweetener. Adults can also use this, it also helps to add some fruity vitamins into your diet. If any of these recipes have been helpful, please leave a comment. Thank you 😊

    6 month age running my baby,,, Can i give fruit puree in night at 3 or 4 am

  • @simpleyparenting
    @simpleyparenting2 жыл бұрын

    Midnight?, No please. Your baby may become unsettled because of indigestion since you will most likely be trying to get your baby back to sleep as soon as possible. This is for baby to have about an hour before sleep for proper digestion. Give milk at this time of the day

    9 months old can also have this but make it chunky so that they can start transitioning to finger foods. If already having finger food or your usual adult meal, then you can cut the Avocados into spears and they can have it along side some toast. Make sure to monitor your baby while trying for the first time. There are also more recipes on this channel, look through videos, and put on your notification if you already subscribed to get latest kids meal ideas
