Beautiful piece! What type of enamel do you use to fill in the ring after you engrave it?

No enamel :) We use a process called oxidisation using a blackener

We don't engrave on signet rings that we have not crafted ourselves, because we don't know how the ring was manufactured and there is a risk that the engraving process will not be successful. If you are looking for a new custom signet ring from from Benjamin Black, the price is dependant on your choice of metal and your finger size. I had two silver signet rings made; one with my initials in Fraktur font for my left ring finger and a pinky ring with my personal symbol for my right pinky.

We get asked this question quite often, because traditionally (mainly, but not exclusively) signet rings were worn by men - being used for signatory purposes, but they have increasingly become a more popular choice for women who want a stylish and meaningful ring to tell their individual story.
