  I was once on a COMENG train on the Frankston line in 2022 when only the rear 3 car set shut down and restarted a number of times while the train was in motion which was probably due to an electrical fault within that 3 car set I was in. The set was also in a shut down state as the train was approaching Caulfield station and it suddenly did an emergency stop when the doors were released while the train was in motion at caution speed. It then continued again after shutting the doors while the rear set was eerily quiet when shut down while the door beepers also seemed to be behaving differently when the set was shut down like they all of a sudden had a long fading at the end of each tone which is something that normally does not occur! Also the motor that spins up when the train starts seems to now spin up at a slower acceleration rate than in your video so it might of been an issue with the set or a modification that was made during the most recent life extension upgrades of the COMENG sets! Of course I’m thinking that motor might be a worm gear/turbine style compressor which is a part of the motor/electronics cooling system in the trains! :)

  I think the railways in Victoria have always tried to get away with as little horse power as they are think they can get away with. In the end as The Fat Controller says, it has caused confusion and delay.🇦🇺

  PTV is tram, buses and trains in Melbourne but they also have company that’s operates it like Yarra trams and metro trains but I don’t the name of the buses

  no, we followed a trail near Silcock Reserve to get shots of the Mitcham-Mooroolbark steamers going through the S-curve around there at the time. As we walked back towards Croydon, we saw the train pull up to the signal. I didn't expect to get what i got then.

  Climbing any grade can be made so so much effortlessly in a timely manner, if the rail companies here in Australia would just bite the bullet / costs & mission plan strategies, is if they could just start operating their train configurations with the efficient (( DISTRIBUTED POWER)) Method In mind from the out set of a transfer mission.. The only time the most efficient DISTRIBUTED POWER Configurations are ever used here in Australia are on passenger trains such as the XPT & other passenger train types. I've never ever have seen the method used on freight train here, which is where the method would be most substantially effective it would appear.. can a reason be explained to me as to why the method of distributed power configurations isn't use here in australian freight trains.
