How responsive is it .. I’m looking at a second hand p3 and debating whether to get it .. I’m hearing you can’t really feel the road surface .. looking at this it looks like the the motion is ever so slightly behind / delayed what the car is doing .. do you find this ?

Yes there is a slight delay in this video but you can change parameters using the SRS software and you can up the boost settings to make it more responsive.

AMS2 is incredibly immersive in VR. I can't imagine what this is like. One day :)

How does this work with vr? If you move around the room in the chair, is that then the same in vr? Do you bounce around in the cockpit?

I don’t quite understand the question I’m afraid. No you don’t bounce around the cockpit in VR. You feel the relevant the forces that the aircraft is putting you through. You don’t obviously bounce around the cockpit because the ‘aircraft’ is the thing that’s moving ‘you’ in VR. The seat is just replicating that IRL.

So lets say i lean to the side then i would eventually clip through the canopy. But how does that work with the chair when for example you bank left and the chair moves you a bit sideways will the DCS cockpit move with the motion of the chair.? Does that make sense?:D

Ah yes sorry my bad. I understand now. Yes it’s called motion compensation. You purchase a small gizmo and lead from Amazon, attach it to your rig and then the SRS (sim racing studio)software does the rest. So it basically tells your vr headset that you’re moving along with the motion rig and therefore will always be centralised. Without it, as your rightly said, you will ‘slip’ out of the cockpit etc. I think the gizmo in question is an inclinometer. Search on here for VR motion compensation. Hope that helps.

with the approbiate software you don't even need that gadget / hardware. The software "substracts" the motion of the rig from the HMD. Works pretty well even with 6DOF.

I've been an Iron Maiden fan since 1982, and think this is one of their best concert series to date. The only thing I miss is the real spontaneity, every step and every movement is exactly the same at every concert, which makes it a bit predictable.

Thanks for putting this up. I was part one of the Marines fast roping from the Sea Kings and forming the troop attack at the end. I used to have this on dvd but lost it years ago but now I’ve been able to show my son. This was a brilliant day for the retiring of the Sea Harrier
