I enjoyed your video as it shows your learning and asking for help. Most videos i've seen about this welder they pull out of the box say there it is and works good but no proof of what it can do. I did see where the instructions for speed and heat is basically all the same but that's CHINA for you. Thanks for showing how the welder works and good job by the way. Love the garage and what you guys are doing. I started back when i was 16 in about the same style of garage and that was 50yrs ago an im still working out of it. Keep up the good work and it's not how perfect it is , it's how well you enjoy what your doing.

The hole you mentioned doesnt go anywhere might be where the 1996 blower case has a vacum T fitting. My 1996 park ave ultra has a fitting there with 3 vacuum lines that a 01 blower case isnt drilled and tapped for

I got the Z1 performance headers, Berk high-flow cats, Takeda air intake, Invidia cat-back exhaust. Do I need to tune the car? If so, any recommendations? I'm leaning towards the Z1 Tune#2.

The ones on my 86 were the welded version. We ended up drilling some holes and smacking the crap out of them. It's nice to see that the mutilation of the universal press tool is a necessary part of the process. Glad we got that right. Great video!

Replace that piston in the 2nd accumulator with either an aluminum one ore the sonnax one they last longer i personnally used the sonnax pinless acumulators they last longer and dont have that stupd pin that wesrs out over time in the bore! Another thing to upgrade is the separator plate with a transgo one they last longer the damn check balls will get ruined over time and check balls will get enmbeded in the bore i seen it i installed same shift kit and like 2 years i started having issue dropped the valve body the check balls had severly worned the separator plate might as well upgrade

If its your furst time removing the input drum i duggest to watch the bench guy he shows u step by step on hiw to do it cause if u never done it im 100 percent u gonna mess up big time

Guys warning do not install the check bal with small whole into input drum it will leak and u eill get 3/4 burnt friction plates, and do not install the 7cs springs for high reving vehicles into the transmission input drum the drum needs clearences in the 3/4 the yellows springs will be outside gm input drum clearences its gonna be too tight causing shift issues i know cause i had them installed
