  This game has a very interesting plot but the gameplay can be very very very fuckin bare bones and frustratingly obtuse . It has good bones. In the sense that a 5 day old t bone steak has good bones. Theres solid room for a great game here but the game doesn't DO ANYTHING with what solid ground it has here. Its like seeing a farmer with natures greatest soil use it to throw mud pies at his face. .....and despite its solid core plot a lot of the character writing is so painfully shallow it makes me want to choke the DanganRonpa dev team. ESPECIALLY the character banter . Case in point: Who thought talking about how one mentions literal shit as chill character banter?????)

  I actually finished the game with the harem ending on stream, though it took a while! I ultimately stopped uploading any VODs of it because Premiere was just getting worse and worse to work with; it wouldn't even scrub video properly anymore by the time I dropped it. I should probably cut the rest of the VODs for KZread at some point now that I have much better (i.e. functional) editing software.

  I've "finished" D1 twice. Played D2 for a couple months. Played D5 for a few months. Thought it was great but eventually tired of it. Almost too much to do. I've recently began another playthrough of D1 Complete and I find it the most satisfying.

  Nothing wrong with more of the original trio! It's a shame A Brighter Darkness never made it to more systems, being the only other entry starring those three.

  Thanks, I really appreciate that and I'm glad you're enjoying the ZZ playthrough! That fight was ridiculous but I had to try. XD Don't quote me on this, but I'm hoping to pick another game playthrough to start posting in the near future, now that my rig isn't clogged with Adobe Premiere.

  The Hub worlf music is basically Killia and Sera relationship, a seemengly mellow music in Sera love nest but the lyrics is about Killia sadness and he doesnt have sera in his mind for a second, he has someone else he lost and he is both moving on and afraid of doing so.

  Great video, you really broke down the game very well with wonderful detailed explanation. I just got D5 a few days ago before I even watched this video. I must say, if I had saw this video earlier I would have bought D5 even sooner. As an RPG I would say this game is perfect. The level of customization, the steady progression, and simply being rewarded for everything you do makes this game so fun!

  Glad you enjoyed it! Have you checked out Disgaea 6 yet? Some interesting changes and things to adapt to, for sure, but it seems pretty solid (and very breakable) in my time with it so far.

  Hope you like Disgaea 6 too. It does change things in some ways, probably for the best. Some changes are quite drastic / jarring compared to before.... Disgaea 6 flows really well..... Disgaea series is so much fun!
