Have got one of the original plain buckets .Fitted the SS Brewtech long thermowell in the lid which takes the probe from my Inkbird temperature controller works well . After replacing o rings on the racking arm a few times I removed it and binned it .Never had any problems since .I mix , brew and dry hop then bottle from the same fermenter .Best I have ever used .Cheers .

I got my unitank 2.0 basically assembled but the pressure gauge is throwing me off. As soon as I tighten down the trim lamp the pressure goes up to past 10-12psi, when I loosen it up , it goes to 0. How do I tighten the clamp good, and get the gauge to zero? I already opened the top plug to air it but didn't drop?
@garystaples35499 ай бұрын
It sounds like the Gasket isnt seated correctly and is pushing on underside of the Guage. I would reassemble and test again with possibly a different gasket. You shouldn't have to open plug to Air as its not designed to work this way. You can also check bottom of the Guage to see if there is any damage or similar which might be causing it to depress.

Micro elbow and a gas port on bottom of the blow off. How doesnthe co2 escape then???
@garystaples35499 ай бұрын
The Micro teeon and a ball lock fitting off that you can still open up the ball valve on the blow off to release CO2. The micro tee still allows the ball valve which you can then either open or close

Can we replace the tap on the first-gen bucket with the one from the 2.0? Biggest issue I've found is that rotating the racking arm can actually uncrew the nut on the inside and sometimes cause leaks. Terrifying when that happens after two weeks of fermenting!

This probably should span a little bit longer, as someone who has never worked with either of these unitanks, I still have no idea what features the Brewtools Unitank has over the SS Brewtech other than "features"... Would help if he elaborated more.

Thanks for the video, I’m tossing up between which of these two is better suited to what I need. I would have loved if you had made the video with just the bare fermenters with what you actually get and then go through the optional extras! Do you happen to know if the Grainfather Glycol adapter kit fits both of these fermenters? I believe it fits the BrewBuilt but not sure about the BrewTech.
