  THE SAmE THING HAPPEND TO MINE it was goina do it 3 times but i cancelled the cycle i am going to try spin again after this wool cycle i put it on (Edit) it just finishes and spun normally

  I used some rubber seal from a light fitting. Rubber seal from greenhouse glass may also work.

  it won't wear anything out, there's too much water to cause heat from friction or anything like that. It will be just fine
