Even ignition effect is better than ele
The best thing is that you have much better utilities, armor class I CC than ele💀
Be glad you didnt try condi weaver, especially with the pistol. It's 10x the effort to match the dps of condi Tempest, more or less. Then again pistol on ele further compounds things by adding even more weird design choices, but perhaps you'll experience that yourself
Im an ele main (and predominantly Weaver) but am a-ok with all the strays as you continue this series
Warrior's ripped off again. The more they release all the other weapons amongst other classes, the more it takes away from warrior's class personality of being "a weapons specialist." The ranger getting melee and ranged spear takes away from warrior's personality as well. Why would the most "weapon proficient class" only use spear at ranged? They should be able to melee as well. Just my thoughts.
It's a crime that Hammer doesn't seem to work well with any Guardian build these days. At least it golfs nicely in WvW 😂
An auto attack core guard or dh with hammer can hit 30-32k without the risk of rotation failure mid fight. Its probably time to consider simpler more efficient builds.
😂
Thanks it’s a big help for me
I tried now the berserker heal and its quite fun. Much better for me to play then herald heal, which i miss to play but sucks for me now. I have in certain groups with my chrono a much higher clicks per seconds just to keep them alive, but you have an easier boon generation, healing and an overall utility/heal usage even as me being a staff/rifle mesmer instead of zepter/shield/rifle. Currently it seems a lot of new people coming in, many old have gone on a break and the new once find it funny to stay in damage fields, dont know the mechanic or just run into damage fields. My question would be which of the relicts is the best choice Relic of the Monk, Karakosa or Flock? Monk is the most basic and strait forward. And which is the better option for the rune water or monk and are the 125 healing or 10% boon duration the better choice? I dont like the utility slots trade-offs. You have to sacrifice certain things to obtain others which you cant obtain in lesser quantitiy through others like with chrono you have with F1 always 1 stabi, then you have your mantra and a well, so when you actually wanna flex you can press out a full stack of stabi (with continuum - which has its own draw backs and can actually bite you in the butt). At certain occasions I had run out of bersi mode and had to wait to go back in, which reduces the quickness uptime, healing and other boons. Specially with enemies that have imba phases it is quite annoying and with enemies that have high need for stabi you are also at a bad position. You have 1 stabi as far as i have seen with you banner, which is like for great justice always a given. But i would rather take the defence banner over the tactics one even if i lose my only stabi. The other trade-off is the second weapon set. Warhorn is great but you have no good healing one hand weapon that seconds you to heal your group its just dps like the axe for ranger heals before mace. But the druid had his avatar that needed dps to gain access to it. So you have then either use your burst, for great justice or your banner/s. Which got me a few times on the wrong foot. It worked out because of how impressiv staff 3, 5 and 2 is but you are always in a pinch. You have to switch to get the benefits but you also being put in a sitatuion where you are less likely to be useful as a heal, not as worse as it seems to be with the bladesworn but on a same level. Because you still have acces to wornhorn 5 which gives at least barrier when its ready. I tried it on every normal mode strike or fractal and it can keep your group alive, quite easily, when you have someone that gives also boons (mech, herald, firebrand, willbender, ....) you can switch a few skills for an overall better expierence. So i think i stay with Chrono, HScg and Untamed as heal. Berserker will still be always an option for a qheal beside untamed.
ive been trying to tell this for years. ele utility as a whole is dogshit. which is funny as it is always presented as versatile. its always hyper optimized for one thing. healing and some boons or damage. and yes it does these 2 as well as other classes, and if you play insanely well, even a tiny bit better...in exchange you are squishy af and not beneficial for your team other than your role purpose. I'd love to get 1-2 permanently available "be useful" and "oh shit" buttons on ele. Would trade some max damage potential for it anytime.
you will pretty much summarize the DPS class when you reached Condi Virtuoso.
so wait you can perforate, dash, perforate, death shroud, spin, dash, drop death shroud, maybe perforate again, dash perforate?
one of the best dps for pug runs, basically immortal, aoe stab, aoe block, insane cleave and pulls, skips + can take extra aoe aegis/stab if needed. on bad side - all 4 modifiers must be present to deal dmg and rotation can desync a lot if you are not fast.
I still don't understand how anyone's supposed to hunt a dragon with this spec. You have shorter range than actual rangers, if you can't keep up with dudes who fire arrows at eagles I'm not sure how you're going to hit this massive thing that teleports around worlds.
I've used DH as my main build for years now, always been solid. Feels great to have all that utility and being able to jump in and save someone in a pinch with f2-f3. Yeah I can do QDPS Firebrand but it's a lot more intense for what it gives in DPS, I keep it for certain scenarios. Willbender's just a lot less fun than the rest tbh, even base class is more fun to me so I'm yet to make a proper build XD
the actual snowcrow numbers realistically are not to reachable without abusing the weapon stowing trick, which lets be real, absolutely no one besides basement dwelling freaks will use. Also its come out that some of their videos were set up with macros getting the skills down to the pinpoint best timings. I wouldnt doubt that many of those people in the videos cant hit their own benchmarks, add in having to do mechanics in a fight and their numbers would drop even more. I admit its useful that they do those benchmarks to see what the build can hit in a vacuum best possible state, but they shouldnt be used to compare what you 'should' be hitting, if you can get around that 85% then you have mastered that rotation and will likely have more dps than 99% of the players you run into, pushing it slightly higher comes from RNG and/or ping. I usually get around that 85% benchmark on golem, but in fights I can pull better numbers than they can in their CM videos. I almost always have better dps than any legendary cerus title user ive seen as well, and again I only get around an 85% to 90% bench at best. Your 33k is actually really clean, because a near perfect rotation i would say you could hit like 37k maybe 38k if you push it
That’s how I feel with any dps rotation which is why is stick to tank or heal 😅
While being a fun build, DH suffers from a few issues imo: 1) Skills that lock you in place and get easily cancelled (LB 3 + 5, GS 4) 2) Cast bars dont match animations (you pointed that out for GS2) 3) Low self-sufficiency in terms of offensive boons. This is more of a problem in open world gameplay. Playing it without quickness feels really awful, especially due to the animation issues. 4) Reliance on hitbox size. A large hitbox actually adds a ton of damage to DH due to the projectiles from GS2 hitting when you stand inside it. On a small one, projectiles usually miss the enemy and fly off in random directions.

Why didn't they just call it Polearm or Lance or something?
So instead of spears and land-spears we have polearms and water-poles
@@MuklukKZread Nah, just leave spears as they have been. Add polearms or lances.
Aye the DH love 💗
Weaver is only for the giga chads, it’s ok.
Only the most sigma of sigma males can be a weaver main. It’s not for most.
Elementalist just can't catch a break between Weaver and Catalyst
Not surprised blue class has such useful skills. I remember trying to pick up this class and had a hard time in open world because things would die or move and I just couldn’t get damage in. Might give it another try with this explanation
Glad to see Dragonhunter still in a good spot. I took up firebrand when I got into tanking and was hard to want to go back, especially with the option of quickness too, but I still have many fond memories of DH with sooo much content. It was my first long term main spec! I will have to give it another go, though I will say longbow might take some getting used to. I do remember switching to firebrand around the time longbow was becoming the most popular weapon swap, and it felt strange to play for me, but I know there's been some changes since.
Nice my favorite class since HoTs days 😊. Sword sword is really fun too these days, especially with all the little power creep buffs its gotten over time too! And yes Guardian is the Aftercast class unfortunately lol
New Category: Is it better than Weaver?
Honestly, anything can beat the Weaver of Mukluk. Try beating a non crippled player.
WB is the superior Guardian!
7:01 "Sorry weavers I'm still mad at you". Dont be so angry with weavers just because you are a crippled player Mukluk.
Hey if you want to have every single button on your bar be a damage key just so you can keep up with the quickness providers while doing 10x the work and having no utility and less CC: That's your call.
@@MuklukKZread just because " YOU" could not keep up with the boon dps, doesn't mean weaver is bad, "YOU" are a crippled player, the class isn't for you, that is it.
@@user-tp6mt2rb6x It's an awful spec for any first time play. But even for the experienced player, the 'reward' does not justify the extra work required.
@@Rongez the " reward" that you get, is that "YOU GET GOOD" because you want to not die like a crippled player and you start paying attention to everything around you because almost anything can get you to low HP. If you look around, you will try to avoid reds, if you look around you might learn mechanics. And if you learn to play Ele, you will most likely not die in most encounters. Let me show you this: Conjured Amalgamate Boss// ELE ONLY // (W6 1st Boss) : "kzread.info/dash/bejne/eo2dw5euia_Yfpc.html" -> Log: "dps.report/F4hU-20221203-113021_ca" Compare with this other 2 Logs from random groups picked from wingman: Log 1 from 2022 almost same date like the Elementalis group : "gw2wingman.nevermindcreations.de/log/20221201-202432_ca_kill" Log 2 from May-2024 random group from wingman : "gw2wingman.nevermindcreations.de/log/e3810-20240527-195502_ca_kill" This is not my video, I found this video and this will show you some interesting facts if you analize the data: 1. Ele group is sending 2 Weaver DPS to pick up the Swords/Shields while the other 2 groups Log 1 and 2 send the healers or boon dps . For me the Ele group already won with this point, you are making the damn DPS do mechanics. 2. Boon Uptime: TOTAL Quickness uptime for 3 groups is around the same 94%. But if you look in detail Log 2 - Group 2 is Suffering with an 83% Quickness uptime, I'm not sure , BUUUUUT, wasn't quickness Harbringer easier to play and generate quickness? then Why are they suffering with that quickness uptime if they are not picking sword or shields?. 3. Alacrity uptime: They are about the same in 3 logs, but could be better in the Ele group. 4. UTILITY: You need Stability or Aegis to not get the Arm Slam. Who can provide 1 stack of Stability or Aegis? Call the mesmers, call the revs, call the guardians for Stand your ground, Genius, Heal Tempest can also give you aegis while blasting the might at the start of the fight with Aftershock. 5. Other Boon Uptime: Might Uptime: ELES = > 24.84 stacks over all . Log1 : 23.13 Overall. Log2: 19 Stacks Overall? Was not Heal scourge/ Quickness Harbringer/Scrapper easier to play? and still bring more " UTILITY" to the group? Wow so much utility that they doesn't use or doesn't know how to use. Protection Uptime: ELES => 100%. Log1: 90% uptime. Log2: 91% uptime. Wow you are helping alot guys. Regen Uptime: Almost best with 90% Vs Log2 92% / Log 1 76 %( 76% Total but with a Heal Firebrand giving 53% Uptime for his group, WOW, Heal firebrand so much UTILITY, SO MUCH BOON). Vigor Uptime: ELES => 78% Uptime. VS Log1 : 35% uptime VS Log2: 8% Uptime. WOW Not a chance. ELE IS NOT WORTH IT. Catalyst is not worth it. Weaver is not Worth it.
@@Rongez Why I focus so much in the Uptime and boons? Because having all that, helps alot. And at the end of the video , Eles got a warrior monster and missed a shield , 2 went downstate. They recovered quite fast and yet got the kill. The other 2 groups also got downstates , 2 warriors players going downstate, and the Log2 have the harbringer quickness going downstate and the mechanist going downstate but in some cases because the support was going for the shield or the sword mechanic. Then you maybe will try to say " Conjured is not a hard boss, there aren't alot of mechanics", yes maybe, but let me tell you something, go find in youtube ELE ONLY, and you will find DHUM ELE ONLY no quickness, No alacrity, Qadim Wing6 Ele only, no portal bullshit, no pulls, and Yes, they got CC to break the Qadim bar. Qadim2 only ELEs, you want a tank? get catalyst tank, you want pylons? no problem staff pylon ele, you need Dps? you got weaver and Cata, and you know what? they are not even the best players, yet, they did all that. WITHOUT UTILITY? with that low CC? . The reality is : You are not good enough, you overcap utilities and don't use it then you expect you support to do everything, then you start focusing in ur crappy rotation and die because you are not looking around, just pressing 2 skills is not gameplay, but if you press everything and yet you don't know how to combine with your team? also isn't gameplay, I think you want to play Mobile games with autoplay.
weaver needs a rework since,,, i forgot how long ago already thats how long it is.
I'm doing longbow/dual sword with my dragonhunter. It's a blast, I love it. More DPS than GS too, I know everyone loves their GS but that doesnt always mean its the best option.
23:20 Confused here. I play Mirage and the alacrity comes from your Ambush skill, not your shatter. You don't need a target to apply it. You just need a target if you want to optimise uptime.
For anyone watching for the daredevil part, utility wise you can easily swap out something to bring something else, such as AOE stealth, AOE heal, shadowstep + condi cleanse, missile block, normal block, 10 man portal (currently 5 but is changing), single target pull - having plenty of immob can be useful to, especially in raids For further utility learn the steal skills! - Most well known ones are plasma (Give yourself most boons) and detonate plasma (give party most boons) but theres a whole range of what you can get. Strikes and Raids all have their own unique skills aswell per boss, like the snowball at whisper is aoe stabillity. In some raids you can steal a revive skill, where it will shadowstep them to you and partially revive them (similar to the heal scourge revive pull), if no one is dead then its a shadowstep/movement skill. Sidenote, playing Condi DD in action cam is very... interesting. I spin my camera a full 180 degrees to try aim where im going to land every single dodge and dagger 3. Mursaat is definitely very stressful (a fun kind of stressful, somehow). I have also griefed on Cairn by getting agony but needing to flip onto the group to do damage... also deimos oils are rough, and sabetha flame wall...and Soulless Horror walls... and you can accidentally dodge over the KO strike rails. - Definitely very risky for some fights, lol.
The multiple primary weapon abilities attracted me to the weaver in the same way I enjoy the multiple revenant utility skills. I agree it should have higher burst or sustained DPS compared to the DK since the DK provides so many beneficial party boons.
matthias and power dh? bad idea
So I learned!
About GS 2 I dont think it's a bug, or it's a bug with Ranger Longbow 5 too, the aoe rain of arrows, where you also have a cast bar, but tha animation of shooting upwards is much longer.
1:07 Did anyone else see that sword fly over the golems head?
Dh f3 continues to block attacks from your front until the shield animation finished in addition to the aegis
It also blocks attacks for allies. Dragonhunter F3 is cracked.
Since this has just dropped ... have you, or will release a tier list of dps ( later healer and tank ) classes in a single video clip? Great series, but finding out about only one at a time makes choosing your next toon/char to invest in kind of difficult.
I'll have a summary video at the end just like I did with the boon dps and healer series. I will say this will be a LOT longer. There are 9 classes, 27 elite specs, 54 builds if you count power vs condi, and even more if you look at weapon types.
@@MuklukKZread wow, thank you very much
They need to nerf DH. It's been broken for a long time
I know I know, but I still think this is ridiculous that you shoot arrows in melee range bassicly for your rotation
Waiting for the day you’ll try condi holo so much
Thanks muk. I really tried to learn dragonhunter but couldn't do 30k dmg on golem without the food and utility buff. On other classes I can do that easily but on DH in can always go upto 26k~28k. I was kinda disappointed and dropped it. I really wanted it to work because I loved gurdian and it was my first profession I created on gw2. I also tried the redience build caz I thought in normal fight putting up constant agis is not possible but reasult was not much different. After watching ur video I am eaching to try again. Lets see. O and can u plz tell me what mod of Blish hud you use for raid timers. I really need it for Sebetha cannons caz I am directionally challenged in that fight.😂
I believe it is just called "Timers" in the blish module list.
Thanks muk I will search for it.
I was not prepared for Oui. Noxxy gdi
I think Mukluk is the first person who mentioned DH greatsword 2nd skill being strange, i have lost so many damage because of it over the years and always thought it was meant to be, but annoying
*crying in weaver*
