Thank you so much for this great lecture. In my country Libya, unfortunately, we have no Brachytherapy treatment, the machine is found in the city of Musrata but no one works on it, now we have in Tripoli radiation oncology center two new Infinity Elekta accelerators PLUS a Brachytherapy machine and that realy great as our chief is willing to operate on it and as she noticed my interest in such a therapy she wants me to work on it and that's why I am downloading many videos in such a topic to get good knowledge in such a technology. I am delighted to find a KZread channel from the USA to get the best and the latest in Brachytherapy . Thanks again, I really appreciate your efforts in spreading such knowledge Dr.Essam Elmisherghi a new Radiation oncology doctor from Tripoli-Libya

It was a great pleasure to be able to see this presentation for free, it is a major struggle to learn brachy in Europe with no curriculum, structured teaching, training fellowships and very limited funding. Thanks so much

I am Tatsuya KOBAYASHI of Chiyoda Technol Corporation. It is a great pleasure to propose the information of Br-Training Simulator with you. I have a proposal of one good training goods for a new doctor who needs a practical training in combined vaginal and intra-tissue irradiation (hybrid brachytherapy), which has been difficult to achieve, is now possible. This simulator tool is a training tool for a new doctor carrying out Brachytherapy with a little experiences in inserting sealed brachytherapy sources into a patient. There was no training kit of applicator insertion for brachytherapy. Since both the applicator for vaginal irradiation and the needles for intra-tissue irradiation can be inserted, it is possible to practice hybrid brachytherapy sources. By using a blind cover of the simulator tool, training can be done under the simulating conditions as in actual treatment. The applicator used for brachytherapy for cervical cancer is assembled and used in the patient's body at the time of clinical practice, it is not possible to actually visually confirm whether it is assembled correctly. This simulator tool is a training tool for a doctor with a little experiences in inserting sealed brachytherapy sources into a patient. Please contact me for more information. In recent years, the number of facilities that start "hybrid treatment" that combines an applicator and a needle in an IGBT has increased, but many doctors have never experienced needle insertion, and a phantom that can be practiced at the same time as inserting the applicator. It is a product that has been overwhelmed by the purchase due to the development request of. "Hybrid treatment" means that regular intraluminal irradiation with tandem ovoid often results in insufficient dose administration to tumors that have invaded the tissue from the cervix, so needles are used in addition to tandem ovoid. It is an added irradiation method. It is performed for the purpose of preventing the complete cure or recurrence of the tumor by widening the dose distribution, and has a high therapeutic effect. This simulator has been develop with Prof. Tatsuya Ohno, Gunma University Heavy Ion Medical Center and manufacturer. Prof.Ohno asked Chiyoda Technol to expand this information through MD Anderson because he believes that this tool have many advantages for actual medical practice. Thank you very much for your time to consider this issue. Best regards, Chiyoda Technol Corporation Tatsuya KOBAYASHI(Mr.) Section Manager International Affairs Section Sales Planning Department [email protected]

I am a veteran out of Gainesville V.A. recently diagnosed with 3+4 gleason. Dr Johnson Urologist at the Gainesville V.A. referred me to local radiologist who only did radiation through traditional methods. As an engineer I am sold on the simplicity and effectiveness of BT. But the V.A. is having trouble finding physicians who do this routinely. They did find one in Jax florida. I will probably go there. But at my age, I am willing to avail myself for new doctors in training. What say you.

The use of balloon packing is a really good idea, instead of the rectal retractor that usually comes with T&R applicators.
