    yes frankly the inability to just enter names (ie. requiring that they register first, then become friends) is a no go for me. I just want to create a friendly match and add them on the fly...

  • @shootersglobal
    @shootersglobal13 күн бұрын

    you can only add your friends and yourself to the match. Shooters should create an account in the app. Then become your friends (you invite them or they invite you, it doesn't matter). The app is completely free, they do not need a timer to create an account. Then they can easily join and see the results of the match in their account.

    @@shootersglobal I have understood that, but I don't know why you are forcing that! I agree that would be preferred and would allow them to receive details directly, BUT some people do not want to be forced to register, and it seems a pity to not have the possibility of free form entries. The reality is that that you could do this, but are choosing not to do it; people realize this and I believe that in the long term it will be a policy that reflects less well on you.

    Can you somehow pause the timer during a session? I like it but it seems 100% focused on IPSC where you don't need that functionality. Haven't thought of a good workaround yet. I think it wouldn't be too hard to update the software to include an "enable pause" slider for a training in the drills app and then the start button pauses on single push and re-starts on double.

  • @shootersglobal
    @shootersglobalАй бұрын

  • @Vanalos
    @VanalosАй бұрын

  • @shootersglobal
    @shootersglobalАй бұрын

    If you didn’t set a time limit, after ending the session, you can select «continue» on the timer and return to your session. The timer continues to count time during the pause. So If you select «continue», the time will be accurate.

    @VanalosАй бұрын

    @@shootersglobal I use the GO Timer, so that wouldn't work I guess. Also, my point is I want to be able to stop the timer counting time during the pause! For shooting matches that have an overall time limit with different stages and time stops in between the stages.

    To bad they aren't. At the event competition we had, two of the top guys who were duking it out were optics and irons, and the only reason the guy running irons was keeping up was because he has a massive mag well on a G34, and the other guy was running a P320 X Carry with some silicon carbide on the grip and he managed to keep a .23 overall lead on a guy who was dropping near instant reloads. The guy in 1st place was running an optics ready M&P 2.0 by the way. I managed 9th, and might have managed 6th if not for a 5s penalty due to forgetting a target...

    Picked it up a GO yesterday. Can’t say I’m impressed. Feels flimsy, cheap built and what a heck - no way you can handle this button in the cold or anytime in an easy way. Please just look on the pact timer and you have it right - steel with pride. It also seems to to have very sensitive sensors with a small working spectra and needs to be tweaked between guns. I never need todo it on the pact. It works on openguns, standard, ,22, AR 15, PCC outdoor indoor 1 meter behind - 7meter away. I haven’t find the setting for it to work indoor. I’m a shooting leader and are running it as an RO but also as on my own ,but haven’t figure out a level the work from 1 m - 7m. I will go on and work with it because it has the spy function and the video part. That I will benefit from in my own training and match follow ups , if I get it to work. The video part will also give other benefits when sharing videos on their performance from sessions. Let’s see how it holds up, will be using it like 4-5 times a week . It’s loud enough - the size is ok could have been bigger without me complaining. Window size ok. But the buttons please come on. For me it’s a tool not a small tv remote controll.

  • @shootersglobal
    @shootersglobal2 ай бұрын

    For Smart Dry Fire, we suggest setting the sensitivity to 100 and the wait time to 2.0. The timer will pick up many sounds, such as reload or racking, but it will register as a trigger pull only the last sound it will hear. And the last sound will be a trigger pull. You can reduce “Waiting time” to the minimum value if you need to catch the “first” sound (trigger or shot).

    I just received the GO timer. It could use better directions in manual as to how to turn it off. I like you added 2nd way to turn it off via firmware upgrade. A short video may help but those buying it need better directions in the box than I received. Sadly I will be returning it for a refund due to it having several scratches on the display screen. I could live with the smaller scratches that do not block the displayed elements but there is a large, deeper scratch over the lower left. If wonder if you could get someone to make screen protectors like the ones available for mobile phones. It did not appear to be a returned unit so maybe the screen was damaged during manufacturing.

Aside from an earphone, an accessory jack could be connected to a signaling light or even a pod that vibrates that you can strap on your belly, leg, arm, etc. You can even make a laser pointer that can be aimed to the target at the range with a tripod or clamped to a table. Laser turns on the target when timer starts. Great for indoor ranges.
