The Outlaw Torn was actually the first Metallica song to go over 10 minutes long. The song had to be shortened by 1 minute to fit on the album.

I’ve always liked their 1980’s stuff. Eye for an Eye, Animosity, Technocracy & Six Songs With Mike Singing ep. Animosity is definitely my favorite. After the 80’s they shoulda changed their name starting with Blind it’s a totally different band.

'Vol. 8' has some okay songs on it, but - yeah - for the most part I think it's a pretty weak album. TBH, I've never even hear 'The Astonishing'. Seems that a lot of people don't like recent In Flames. I was never really into them in the first place, but their ealy stuff was pretty decent. While I'm a fan of Blaze Bayley (both in Wolfsbane and as a solo artist), 'Virtual XI' is the only Maiden album I don't really enjoy (I do like "Futureal" and "The Clansman"). I'm one of those weirdos who actually like 'Demolition' and 'Nostradamus'. Yeah, 'Super Collider' isn't great, but I dislike 'Risk' a little bit more. 'Illud...' is weird, but for some reason I don't hate it (not a fan of it either). 'Dedicated to Chaos' is an album I really tried to like, but I just couldn't get into it. It's just boring. But, then again, most of their releases from 'Hear in the Now Fronier' until they kicked Geoff out are lackluster IMHO.

  • @mjnation7876
