Most everything and everyone has a story and/or history to tell. Sometimes the relics are separated from their story, facts get misinterpreted, people forget thus the stories or histories get forgotten, or they are lost. But, that's where we shine.
We love finding vintage relics especially those pertaining to baseball and football memorabilia, military relics (primarily WWII, Korea), and presidential items and researching out their interesting histories and intriguing stories. We also love coming across relics of celebrities or dignitaries to which we'll visit historical places or go to events and share with you those people, places and things.
History and Relics puts the histories and the stories back with the relics that made it all possible for us to remember and enjoy!
History and Relics generally publishes new content on Fridays every 7 to 14 days - depending on work schedules.

Ernie Lombardi is one of the most fascinating players in Major League history. His strengths and weaknesses were so obvious. It's sad and unfair he wasn't inducted into the Hall of Fame while he was still alive.

During my return to A&M (75-76) for my MBA, the Budweiser Clydesdales came to the area. I never saw the trucks as they had unloaded and the horses were bedded down for the night on campus since it is a historical Agriculture and Engineering School (in the old horse barn which has been replaced by a new one on the west side of the tracks). The next morning, the horses were geared up and hitched to the wagon on on of the streets and then went to a shopping center in Bryan (about 5 miles away). Of course on the trip there they had a long line of cars following and not passing. I thing the color of the horses with the white feathers on the feet really sets them off. I have seen videos of other Clydesdales and notice they all seem to have the high stepping style the Budweiser team has. It really sets them off.
Thank you sharing and watching my video. Glad it brought back good memories! The Clydesdales are truly something to see any time you have the opportunity. Best regards.
Sounds like a destination. Wu-hoo !

Clearly there were a lot of slaves here. Why no mention of them
Due to the time period discussed, I believe it’s safe to assume that slavery in much of the country existed and was sort of a norm for the time. It is not known if Hayes had slaves or how many if he did. However, I do make note of his efforts and legislation involving protecting civil rights which he felt strongly about. After slavery was abolished under Lincoln, I’m quite sure Hayes still retained servants as most wealthy and prominent individuals did but post 1865 would not necessarily be referred to as slaves as they would have been free individuals. A few months back I did a video on The Old Tavern which involved a very interesting history and story about the Clarke brothers which ultimately inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe”s book Uncle Tom’s Cabin. You should check this out if you like. Fascinating history. Thank you for watching and sending a comment. Best wishes! 🙏

Why is whup, whup, whup, whup all too familiar of a sound?
It’s certainly a Huey thing when you hear it - just like a Harley and their distinctive sound.
I’m from canton Ohio .. I was there that day and met the duke boys and Daisy .. they are all three great people . They were my hero’s growing up in the 80s .
I was there on that same day and met Bo Luke and Daisy duke . All three gave me a handshake and a hug .. William shatner is a goof
Very cool- be sure to check out my longer video on the history and fun facts from the show and I included highlights from meeting them all at Hartville. Came out pretty good. Thanks for watching!

I read online that this museum saved and moved an original red/white golden arch 1960s mcdonald's building to this museum is this true?
I don’t believe so. If they did, it’s not at this main location. The upstairs main floor has a research area and aviation exhibit as well as its special spotlight exhibit area. Downstairs has the renovated Crawford auto museum area which is really nice. There is also a small exhibit on blimps and this museum has the merry go round from Euclid Park that still operates. You might also be thinking of the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit as it has a full early McDonalds restaurant in it. It’s really cool nostalgia! I think it’s from the late 50s or early 60s. Thanks for watching and stopping by.
I believe the plumbing was replaced recently
Not sure, but it’s as awesome to see as it ever was! Thanks for watching and tune into the full video on our Arlington experience! Have a great weekend.

Wouldn't shake a mans hand. Hmmm
If you watch closely, it looks like his hand cramps a bit just after signing my poster and he immediately grabs his hand as if it was in pain. I didn’t mind him not shaking hands. With as many people there and that he continues to meet, it probably best for him not to engage in handshakes. At 93, may we be in half the shape that he is and that’s if we make it that far. Anyways, thanks for watching and best regards
This man is 93, looks incredible and is out and about signing memorabilia for fans when he could be sipping a drink under an umbrella in Tahiti!! Great guy. Canadian too. They’re always the nicest!! 🎉
A great player for the St. Louis Browns. Before they played in the 1944 World Series vs. the Cardinals
Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it! Yes, got a lot more playing time with the Browns than he ever did with the Yanks!

Shatner said last year that he now gets swollen joints. You can see him grab his pinkie and ring finger....I don't think he feels like shaking hands at this point....at 93 signing so many autographs and with his joint issues...it's probably best he doesn't shake a bunch of hands
@@Anth230 agree with you 100%! Was still great meeting him!
He's a douche. See how he barely looks at the person and wouldn't shake his hand? I've heard nothing but bad things about him. Henry Winkler even chastised him on their show because of the way he treats his fans.

One thing that doesn't get mentioned often enough is how insane the pressure was on the Yankees in the late 70s. In addition to the whole George, Billy and Reggie opera, there was the Son of Sam murders and the NYC blackout in 1977, then coming back from 14 games out in August of 1978. And the fanbase back then was among the rowdiest (putting it nicely) ever.
