Hey awesome video, I just had one question did you need a permit to climb or no?
@Outdoor-VancouverКүн бұрын
Nope, no permits needed!

I summited Evans Peak for the first time a month ago. The hike is intense at parts and I was fortunate to have clear skies at the summit. Great to see you posting regular videos. I am always surprised how few people have subscribed to your work. I subscribed at count 58 a few months ago.

Thank you! I have been driving many times by Mundy park on my way to other parks but never thought of it as a place to hikeill definitely visit it! ❤️
this video is good and I appreciate the candidness about the slog, mud pits and the other obstacles that slow the pace on this demanding backpack. Weather can play such an integral part either making or breaking the experience. I loved the "tale of two hikes". Well done.

Great to see the videos reappearing - was worried when they all disappeared and the first ones to come back didn't feature Karl and you add so much to the videos. You won't remember, but we communicated via email during Covid as I work as an academic in a field related to your wife's profession. Anyway, we are back in Vancouver this summer and are looking forward to checking out a few of our favourite trails in the area and have this one earmarked for a quick evening stroll whilst we are in Squamish and hopefully the coffee shop in/around Smoke Bluffs stays open too 🙂

Thanks Andrew, I do recall exchanging some emails with you! Yes, I had to re-upload all the videos. I started from the oldest ones, which were recorded maybe ten years ago or more. They quality wasn't as good, and I never used to provide commentating on them. I have about 30 more videos to go and then they'll all be back online. Appreciate the comment! Hope you enjoy the summer and get some great hikes in!

It doesn’t take long, but the park is still closed throughout 2024 as a result of flooding and damage that occurred in 2022.
