You can ride with no air and the shock height will be about 2 1/4 lower than stock, but it’ll be a rough ride

I tapped an air line into my crash bar to make it an air tank. Custom fast up

That's why I have been looking at Shotgun Shocks. He has a built in check valve that prevents that from happening. The other alternative would be to keep a section of air tube in the bags as a precautionary. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Ronald, so far, I have been coast to coast and back, to Sturgis and back to NY twice, all around the northeast, and down the east coast... approximately 26k miles on the system with no failures (yet) . In a worst case scenario, there are harley dealers everywhere, and plenty of independent shops, getting a pair of rear shocks on the fly is easy. As far as handling, they're not the greatest. You have to be pumped up to the max for proper compression and rebound. ✌️😎

My grandfather was 580(union president) and my father was 580, I became a machinist. My father was constantly talking about protecting the union. You can to a small degree thank my grandfather and father for what 580 is today.

Looks great, on the dirty air site they state to add any additional mods to the notes section when you order. So they did ask, you might have missed it.
