it would make sense that Jesus used either the Aramaic, Hebrew, Latin or Greek language to cast out the demons and in using one of these languages just one word could translate into several or a phrase in the English language....

The truth is universally hated in today's world. The woke mind virus is destroying the new generation. We are led to believe that you can have your "own truth". This is blatantly false. Facts are facts and truth is truth. We are all entitled to our own opinions, perspectives, and beliefs, but not our own facts or our own truth. We were all born on this earth under God's rules. No matter how hard people try to live life "their way", they are deceived. Most people don't understand the following simple concept. We have freedom to make our own choices in life, but we don't get to choose our consequences. I have a daughter that is still struggling to learn this important lesson. She thinks that all choices are equally good and that she can choose the consequences of those choices as well. Long story short, it hasn't worked out for her well at all and she is miserable! "And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder." Matthew 21:44 "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

Jesus teaches tithing several times in the New Testament. The one you didn't mention: 41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. Mark 12:41-44 From the Old Testament: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:8-12

There are only a few Christian channels that I'll comment on. You seem to be a humble follower of Christ. The Savior condemned the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, lawyers, and the ungodly constantly because of their pride. They puffed themselves up instead of giving all the glory and credit to God. They were far more concerned about appearing righteous unto man than to God. We must give all praise and glory to God for there is no glory in man. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. John 10:23-31 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:27 It is easy to fool man and many supposed followers of Christ will be turned away from God's kingdom at the his coming. "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

Thank you very much Dave for this important message. We can know the truth through the Holy Spirit. God loves us more than we can possibly love Him. God does not leave us comfortless! He does not abandon us! Only we can abandon Him. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." John 16:7 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" John 15:26 "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Most Christian religions get the doctrine of salvation wrong. We are saved by grace through faith as Paul declares in Ephesians 2:8-9. James makes it very clear in chapters 1-3 of the book of James that faith without works is dead. Works don't save us as we cannot earn our way to heaven, it's impossible! We are all sinners and have broken God's commandments. Only through the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ can we be saved. Works don't save us but they do demonstrate our faith and love for God. Those who don't continue in good works won't receive salvation in God's kingdom. Jesus taught this over and over again in the four Gospels. The life of Jesus was filled with good works and we are commanded to keep them and to pick up our cross and follow the Savior. I would estimate that 90% or more of the confusion with the doctrine of salvation comes from the writings of Paul. Peter declared this about Paul's writings, "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." The biggest disconnect is understanding what actually saves us, the grace of God, and what qualifies us for salvation in God's kingdom. The two are confused beyond all belief! The doctrine of salvation is possibly the most misunderstood doctrine in the bible. This is intentional as Satan does everything in his power to keep us from God/Jesus Christ. Satan's main objective is keeping us from salvation in God's kingdom. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, be faithful and follow in the Savior's path for every day you draw breath!

A couple of things you mentioned need clarification. I understand that it is impossible to convey the entire gospel message in a 5 minute video! "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:9-12 (quoting from Psalms) So yes, we cannot hope to obtain eternal life (or God's kingdom) through our works. We have all sinned and broken the law. A Savior was needed to save us from sin and eternal damnation. Additionally, our works are pitiful compared to God's works as Paul explains. Even Jesus humbled himself in this life and didn't want to be called "good". “And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Matthew 19:17 Keeping the commandments is an ingredient to salvation but it's not what saves us as Paul explains: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Jesus Christ was and is the only flawless performance on the earth. Jesus Christ could claim justification through the law since he never broke it. The rest of us have to rely on grace! We gain access to that grace through faith and repentance. Now matter how hard we try, no matter how Godly we try to live, our works are insufficient to save us! Hence, grace is our only path towards salvation! Grace however does not resolve us of any responsibility on our part! The grace of God is extended and offered to everyone but only those who accept Jesus into their lives will be able to claim it. As it says in the book of Revelations: 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Revelations 3:19-21 Jesus stands at the door and knocks but he doesn't force himself on us or his grace. Some effort on our part is required. We must open the door to the Savior and allow him into our lives. This is why Paul said that we are saved by grace through faith. "Through faith" is what causes many Christians to stumble and misunderstand the gospel message. Paul constantly uses faith as an action word throughout his writings. A few examples: Hebrews 11:4-5,7-9,17,20-23 There are several instances where we are told that we are justified by grace: Romans 3:24, Galatians 5:4, Titus 3:7 There are several instances where we are told that we are justified by faith: Galatians 2:16, Galatians 3:24, Romans 5:1, Romans 3:28 There are several instances where we are told that we are justified by works: Romans 2:13, James 2:24 Well which is it??? None of these scriptures contradict, all three play a part/role in our salvation.

What most people don't understand is the huge problem the church faced when the Gospel of Jesus Christ was opened up to the Gentiles in Acts 1:1-8. The Jews were deeply ingrained in traditions and in the works of the Law of Moses. The Jews wanted the new Gentile converts to adhere to Jewish traditions and the Law of Moses. For example, they wanted the Gentile converts to be circumcised. Galatians 5:6, 6:15, Romans 3:28-30, 1 Corinthians 7:19, Colossians 3:11 - The old law has been fulfilled and the new Gentile converts don't have to abide by it. A large portion of Paul's writing were dealing with this topic and he had to tell them over and over again that the works of the Law of Moses are no longer required and the new Gentile converts don't have to abide by the Law of Moses or Jewish traditions. Works are an ingredient to salvation but they aren't the key. Works demonstrate our faith to God. So Paul was correct in saying that we are saved by grace through faith. Works don't save us but they demonstrate our faith and love for God. "For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified" this came from Paul also in Romans 2:13. We learn from James that "faith without works is dead" James chapter 1 through chapter 3. "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." James 1:22 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:15,21-24 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21. We are saved by grace through faith. As explained throughout the New Testament, works demonstrate our faith to God. True faith leads to following the teachings of Christ. Romans 8 is often used to justify the "once saved always saved" false doctrine. Jesus saved us from the law of sin and death, conditional on our exercise of faith in Him. If we are truly converted and become a child of Christ, we walk with Him, accept Him, and follow His teachings. When we become truly converted unto Christ, we no longer sin because we simply have no more desire to do so. We can become perfect in Christ through the Savior's infinite atonement. This requires effort and daily repentance! When we repent, our sins are washed clean. When we accept Christ into our lives, we form a partnership with him. Jesus is, by far, the senior partner and we are the junior partner. In the grand scheme of things, we add very little to the partnership. But because we are yoked with Christ, he does all the heavy lifting and will exalt us in due time as long as we pull with him while yoked together (Matthew 11:29-30). Jesus's parable of the talents found in Matthew 25:14-30 illustrates this point profoundly. The Savior gave every man according to his ability/talents. He expects all of us to use and expand our talents, or in other words, be a profitable servant. Jesus condemned the man who hid his talent in the earth, not because he only had one talent, but because he refused to try. Some Christians falsely believe that it can't be grace if there are any requirements, that once they accept Jesus Christ as their Savior they are saved forever in the kingdom of God. Not so. This doctrine is very pleasing to our ears but it isn't what Jesus taught. The only way to come to this conclusion is by cherry picking several versus out of the bible and misunderstanding or twisting them. "By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:2 We gain access to God's grace through our faith in Him. Paul further explains: "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:21 God gives us his grace freely but we have to accept it and act upon it. In other words, we must exercise our faith. Righteousness is only possible when we become partners with Christ. His works, His righteousness, and His grace make up the difference for our sin and shortcomings, conditional on repentance and exercising faith in Him! Some Christians stumble over the following versus: "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." Romans 11:6 "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." Galatians 2:21 As I discussed earlier, Paul had a huge battle on his hands with the Jews wanting the new Gentile converts to become "Jewish" by adhering to the Law of Moses and Jewish traditions. Paul was referring to the Law of Moses in the above versus, not the works of Christ's new gospel. Without a deep investigation into the epistles of Paul, his writings are easily misunderstood. Even Peter declared as much: 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 2 Peter 3:15-16 If Paul's writings were "hard to be understood" back in 33-68 AD, with their knowledge of the language, customs, and traditions of the time, and in their own language (not a translated text like we have today), what chance do we have today? The answer to that question is through the Holy Spirit and taking into account EVERYTHING that God has said in the bible and not cherry picking specific versus to fit a narrative (I'm in no way accusing you of doing so). There is grace that we will ALL receive. Christ is the firstborn of those who slept (Colossians 1:18) and because of His resurrection from the dead, we will rise again after death in the resurrection. So in this instance, we are all saved, each and everyone one of us. Christ overcame sin and death. The resurrection is a free gift to everyone who has lived on this earth, but salvation from sin requires faith, effort, and daily repentance on our part. Us being sent to earth as children of God is an act of grace. The creation of the world is an act of grace. We received grace before we were ever worthy of it. God the Father sacrificing his only begotton Son on the cross (for us sinners) was such a huge act of grace that we cannot fully comprehend it. So yes, we are all saved by grace many times over! This however, does not translate or mean salvation in the kingdom of God (eternal life). I keep hearing of one preacher online who constantly says that eternal life, by it's very definition, means that "once saved, always saved". Not so. Eternal life is defined as everlasting life in God's kingdom or God's presence. Eternal life doesn't take place until after the resurrection. We don't receive eternal life here on the earth, hence the confusion, although we can qualify for it in this life. Two different teachings are being blurred here to come to the "once saved, always saved" false doctrine. In conclusion, we are saved by grace through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Works don't save us (only Christ can do that) but they do demonstrate our faith and love for God. We are commanded to love God and keep his commandments. This isn't a mere suggestion. If we truly love God and have faith in Him, we will do what is asked of us. God will not exalt those who don't follow Him, but even after our best efforts, it is only through the grace of God that we are saved! As explained in the parable of the talents, we have to be faithful and try! "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?" 1 Corinthians 6:9 "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:38

Right! It is impossible to share the entire gospel message in a five minute video. What you wrote would be an hour and a half sermon. But it was very good! I didn’t agree with you at all points, but thanks for sharing! Franklin Graham hits the essence of the gospel in 30 seconds. But there’s a lot of stuff he leaves out. We do the best we can with the time we have!
