    “Wow!” Is the perfect one word description of this live performance of, “Tales of the destinies”. 👊🏽⚡️There are 30+ time signature changes. The choreography being in sync for the whole song is beyond explaining. The hours of rehearsals 😖 “The One” is the rally cry of Babymetal’s fandom. Great double reaction🦊🤘🏾

    Greetings, thank you very much for reacting to these two tremendous masterpieces, I hope you enjoyed them a lot, Tales of Destiny is a work of art of progressive Metal, where you can see both musical excellence, vocal, choreographic, scenic, and of a show on par with legendary concerts in the history of music... Babymetal surprises us with this song showing us that they are capable of evolving beyond their success that made them viral like Give me Chocolate was, showing everyone their versatility and that their virality is not for a song, it is because of hard work for many years, having to endure mockery and bad treatment from people with square heads who said they were pop and not Metal, who do not understand that they are the creators of Kawaii Metal, and that they are the pioneers of many current Japanese bands that the world is getting to know, and The One, a song that envelops you and shakes, as it was created for the fans, a way of gratitude for the love of the band and that this love is reciprocal, it is more than a song a hymn of triumph. I think that all that Babymetal does, always daring to innovate, is what has made them earn the total respect of the music industry, and their colleagues in the world of Rock and Metal, etc. Greetings from Guatemala, Central America, and thanks again for the reaction, it was great. 🦊🤟

    Great (double) reaction. Those lights everybody had during the piano bridge were neck braces with remote controlled LED bulbs - 55,000 of them. The next night there were another 55,000 but with red LEDs. 'The ONE' is their love letter to the fans❤ (also The One of course). They were so moved by the foreign fans clearly learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. They wanted to reciprocate and challenged themselves to learn a song completely in English ... this was that song and it is dedicated to the fans. This was the finale of the first night (Red Night) at the Tokyo Dome and the only time 'Tales of the Destinies' was ever played live. They played a completely different set list for night 2 (Black Night). In total 25 songs (all the songs from the first 2 albums except 'From Dusk Till Dawn') and every song with its own unique choreography and utilising the huge circular stage, the 3 coffin shaped runways and the stages way up above the big screens above the main stage.

    Welcome back to the Foxhole.🦊🤘🔥 Really appreciate you're coming back with these suggestions and another special set of two songs from their 2nd album Metal Resistance, and this one is even more special just like you've been told. It took several years for KobaMetal (the producer and mastermind of this group) to create this progressive metal song along with "The One" which is the next song, he's a Dream Theater fan just like you. This song was performed only once at Tokyo Dome 2016 with 55K fans witnessing this special and one of a kind live concert, people from all over the world attended this two nights performing their entire catalogue by that time from 1st and 2nd album, only song they didn't performed was From Dusk Till Dawn. There's a lot of crazy transitions and dope time signature changes. Is one of the hardest song they ever performed, even some troubles suddenly happened when performing this but fortunately they made it through like a pro they already were. It's always fun to watch the reaction over that piano section with the kawaii dance moves. There's a reason for this being performed only once and for me that should stay that way for everyone who witnessed this special moment in BM career. The piano outro is no other than "The One" melody announcing the next song with this peaceful bridge. An emotional and beautiful song which follow with a little bit of metal but more like a progressive rock ballad, "The One" is a song that is dedicated to all of us their fans, so get ready your neckbrace to light up your path to El Dorado (they used to give that special merch when you buy the tickets, especially useful since they didn't allowed phones, nowadays is different as you can see when they're performing Monochrome and more recently Karate at the Europe Tour), the girls are ready as you can see, they wearing black and gold battle dress. This song is another BM epic anthem showing how much love they have for us. They knew many BM fans wanted to know more and more about them and even learning the Japanese language just for that purpose. So the girls took this challenge in return for so much love doing an entire song with English lyrics that was released internationally, and there's also another half Japanese/English lyrics version for local Japanese market, you can hear and watch that version in the official MV with beautiful shots from Yokohama Arena 2015, that's another mind-blowing performance you don't want to miss, only thing is it doesn't have live audio. I also recommend "The One - Stairway To Living Legend" which is a stripped down acoustic version and a way to thank everyone right before going into hiatus in 2021 and sealing the Metal Resistance chapter. After that they did another version at The First Take (after Monochrome Piano Version) called The One - Unfinished Version which is similar to The One - STLL but without a few lines, similar to Akatsuki Unfinished Version. This showcase one of the peak moments in BM career with the original trio, it's sad some fans don't understand and try to diminishing what have they done with twisted arguments and the sole pretext "just move on", trying to erase this special moment and being selfish with others fans to experience an unique live performance they will never repeat, it's simply useless, it's not about nostalgia and whatnot. Thanks for sharing this Jason and keep expecting the unexpected in this wild rollercoaster of emotions with these girls and their astounding live shows. _We Are The One_ _Forever_ 🦊🤘❤️

    Oooooh, THE concert!! And THE song duo! GREAT reaction! Yes, "Tokyo Dome 2016" was indeed monumental! A monumental stage, too 😉 And monumental performance, of all parties involved. The Kami Band was out of this world in this. And you could see/hear once again, WHY we call Su-Metal "Our Queen" and Yuimetal and Moametal "her princesses" or "Angels"! TOTD is a marvel of a BABYMETAL song, and the transition to "The One" is such a delight to listen to. "The One"... this is OUR song😉, they dedicated it to us, their fans, and it is such a gorgeous song. Beautiful 😊 It´s a gorgeous performance, too! Btw., you missed a very important detail of the performance, as you were jamming along... the "Su-Metal jaw drop"! Watch it again privately and watch it very closely, with the beginning of the "lalalalaaaa" part😉 And you might notice that suddenly there were 55k white lights, which were not there before 😉 "Tokyo Dome" was literally the greatest BABYMETAL concert ever. I still hope that they might repeat it some day, maybe in 2026? 🤔 Thank you very much for this reaction!

    Nice reaction. ToTD a song so hard they've only played it live this one time. According to them it wasn't perfect. Fooled me. But that's what great musicians do. When they did the ten years of Babymetal they did want to try this song again, but it didn't happen. Our lost. In fairness they did a lot of songs. The One all about the fans. When they did this big concert, they asked them if there was anything special, they wanted to do. "FLY" was the answer. As Su has said all things are possible through Babymetal. And fly they did. Also, they like to give everyone a good view. They've done songs on top of the stage rigging just so folks in the nosebleed sections can be part of the show too. The flew that triangle out over the crowd up high for the fans in the back and up high. They said the hardest part was keeping to the choreography. They wanted to wave to the crowd. I imagine if they did this now. There would be a lot of waving to the fans. Not a chance they would pass up on this kind of audience interaction again. All part of why The One is so loyal to them. They really do think about the fans. The Foxhole is deep and full of surprises

    Great double reaction, thanks! "Tales of the Destinies" is probably their most technical song, a prog metal marvel. And this performance is unique (literally) and a masterpiece in my opinion. This is Kobametal's particular tribute to one of his favorite bands: Dream Theater. It took him several years to get it ready. This is the only time they have performed it live and they had several technical problems. Apparently Su's IEM didn't work properly and had to follow the song and the cues by the drum beats (they use a click and cue track). She also uses the drums to follow the choreography instead of counting, by the way. Mikiko Mizuno, their choreographer, said she was "crazy" because of this. To be honest, I wasn't much into progressive metal so, the first time I listened to it I was like WTF. Then I watched this live performance and all made sense somehow. Now, followed by "The ONE" (the piano bridge in the end leads into it) is one of my favorite BABYMETAL moments and I like to revisit it quite frequently. "The ONE" was written when they returned from their first world tour in 2014 and it's basically a love letter to their fans. It has this English version and another half in Japanese half in English. They were moved about the overseas fans on that tour learning the Japanese lyrics of their songs and wanted to give them something in return. Both songs ("TOTD" and "The ONE") originated as the same song being "The ONE" a sort of spinoff from "TOTD", evolving from a particular melody. This version has a big amount of what I call fan service and I believe it's better appreciated when you are physically there in the venue. But the performance itself give us some special moments we can hardly see on this kind of productions like Su-metal being visibly amazed when she got to see all the neckbraces (everyone in the audience was wearing them) lit for the first time. Luckily, Su seems more free to do such things now and it's not so rare to see her reacting to something happening like a surge in the crowd or to something silly Moa does or says... and she does it a lot, haha... 🤘🦊

    Everyone say that Mincho sherds. IMHO I think she almost never does. She plays melodies with phrasing. Sometimes very fast, but still not shred. Shredding is to me something else. More showing off technics.

    Shredding for me is generally about speed. I might specify arpeggios or sweep picking if I wanted to get specific with it

    @@JasonsSongStop I didn’t say I was right, just how I see it. What she never does is to try to impress. This is true for all three Maids. It’s all about the song. Even during “battles.

    You really have to listen to this song at least 5 times - each time concentrating on a different instrument, then the final listen to concentrate on the vocals and lyrics. Only then can you appreciate just how crazy epic this performance really is.

    @@JasonsSongStop Thanks, they are second only to Band Maid for me. While there are many other talented bands in Japan,I don't care for them and don't watch any reactions of them. I am subscribed and will watch every reaction you do for those two.

    Thank you for your great feedback. The structure of the song is wonderful, and the band's arrangement is extremely complex and grand, and it's rare for someone other than a native Japanese speaker to refer to the lyrics this much. As a Japanese person, I'm really happy that MIKU was able to carefully capture the heartbreaking feelings he wrote, and that SAIKI's performance, which put emotion into the lyrics, was praised. looking forward for next time.

    This song is proof Saiki has three lungs.........must be from Godzilla's prefecture. Either that or she can breath through her eyelids like the lava lizards of the Gallipolis Islands....not really sure. Either way she's amazing. I liked this song, but after this release I LOVE it now.

    From Japan I don't understand why overseas fans think Puzzle is cheating with a married man. Did they say that in an interview? It's normal for a woman to fall in love with a man who is dating another woman, and that doesn't mean the man loves her. I feel like this song is about love and separation with a man who doesn't love her only, whether married or single. Not lies or deception, but an irresistible love. But unfortunately, Puzzle is already broken.

    Hello 👋 YES, I pointed this out in my analysis. It sounded to me like an Unrequited love (Meaning they want someone who does not feel the same affections back). That is what I thought as well. Thanks for stopping by! 😁🤟🐦

    Most interpret it as an affair with someone who is already spoken for. There's an acoustic version too.

  • @JasonsSongStop
    @JasonsSongStop3 күн бұрын

    Yes, I have heard that interpretation as well. I took away that it was an Unrequited love in which she wants someone who does not return her feelings. I will bring this song back for the acoustic version and look into the lyrics again to see what I think about it 😁🤟🐦
