I agree with most of these, but you should have put FE7’s Sol Katti in here. Less might than a Silver Sword and with weight closer to that of axes than that of swords, locked to a low-tier unit.

Something I’d like to mention is that in FE10 the Double Bow is actually really good on paper. 50 durability, 22 might, a nice extra little 5% crit, 1-2 range, and it only weighs 12. On top of all that, it also keeps the +3 strength passive from FE9 but is no longer locked to Snipers. However, all of this good stuff comes at its availability being absolutely horrific, with only 1 existing in the entire game. Specifically as a drop from a Sniper during Rebirth 1, which is at the end of the game. Plus it’s an SS rank weapon which means it’s a bit difficult to get a unit able to use it in the first place (at least from what I remember, if I’m wrong about that please let me know).

This is a Fire Emblem Sacred Stones rom hack that "remakes" the sixth official japanese only game of the franchise, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. So it's basically Fire Emblem 6, that uses the updated GBA engine of Fire Emblem 8.

Binding blade is hands down the WORST Fire Emblem game as well as being the SHORTEST Fire emblem game having only 12 chapters

What? Binding Blade has 24 chapters. And also 7 gaiden chapters for the legendary weapons. And also another 6 chapters due to route splits. So in total it has 37 maps, with 22 minimum assuming you skip every gaiden map and end the game at Zephiel, not getting the true ending.

@@Boarbatrice my game always ended at chapter 8. and even if you got all the sacred weapons it would only give 2 extra chapters after defeating King Zephr. and the requirements to get the gaiden chapters for the sacred weapons seem to be very strict and easily missable even with a walkthrough.

@@KnucklestheEcidna ...Chapter 8 is the chapter you get Lilina. Unless you're playing a rom hack, it's not ending. Also the Gaiden chapters aren't strict. They're all just Keep x unit alive and complete the map within y number of turns.

Letting units die makes my neck itch, hurts my soul. I do think often on part 2’s place in the story. Watching this video I am only now registering how the Lucia map is made entirely pointless the moment it ends. One has to wonder if it wouldn’t have been better to just make Elincia more of a player in part 3, rather than relegating her presence to two chapters; it’s not like ike gets any development during his chapters…

Hello, have never watched one of your vids before today! FE10 was actually my first fire emblem and I am biased towards it as a result. Even so I do actively strain against the games’ own design by boss abusing the part 1 characters and refusing to use the Laguz royals. It feels so good to bring Leonardo to the tower. Between the wackass balance, scuffed availability, and the wrench that transfer bonuses throw into the mix, it really is such a mess. Nonetheless, maps like 2-E and 3-13 are so good that I can’t hate it. I also have similarly mixed feelings on the story; Pelleas is my goat and I will ever forgive the game for not giving him a chance to develop and be a major character, even when he survives in subsequent playthroughs he just gets mocked and it kills me, to say nothing of the character assassinations of Naesala, Sothe, and Astrid. Such a mixed bag of a game. Also, I cannot imagine playing fire emblem without just looking up where and when reinforcements will appear, jajajaja, am I a fake gamer for that? I feel like it just saves time…

2:23 Holy heck, finally someone else talking about this. Imo it's a super important mechanic because it lets you get very high level units very early on. You can easily get someone like Franz up to 15+ if you just feed them a lot of kills. Like just to give you an idea - Before the route split, a level 17 Franz gets 26 Exp for killing a level 8 Knight. After the route split, a level 17 Franz gets 7 Exp for killing a level 9 Knight. But hardly anyone seems to actually know about the mechanic so it's often not brought up in unit discussions.

Ive tried this remake, my game keeps crashing on the opening cutscene on the chapter were you fight Narcian, i cant skip it so its basically unplayable for me which is kida sad but eh.

Rom hacks like these are the reason why it's a good thing that fans aren't in charge of making much less remaking a game. While extra content is nice, it should only be minor additions like maybe Lyn due her popularity on FE7 and fire emblem as a whole and the Gaiden Chapter boss fights. But with the many changes like Eliwood joining the fight and dialogue changes like Wolt's inclusion, it might as be a reboot into a completely different game.

I normally don't watch these types of videos because the answer is obviously yes, as long as the enemies don't hit for 100%, a damageless run is always possible, it's just a matter of resetting until you get the correct luck. This video though, strategizes properly to minimize randomness, and planned for the endgame from the very second chapter, making me stick with it to the end. Clicked for the Neimi, stayed for the strats.

Different promotions and skills make fire emblem games much more enjoyable for me. Story in most of fire emblem games is so bare bones you cant really make it worse. So im actually interested in playing the hack

None of the fan creators own the IP nor the assets of the original game, you are a Den of Thieves. To be clear Im pro fanhacks, however theres this issue in FEU regarding ownership of user created assets and who is allowed to use them. You cant have this double standard of not having creators lifting assets from other creators when no one there owns the original assets in the base game.

i think all of this honestly wouldn't be so bad if the guy was just not a a hole about the whole thing like insulting the original work or acting like it was all his doing even though he just stole the art from another persona and barely crediting them for it like if he was just honest and gave full credit to project ember i don't think it would be as bad.

But this would be kinda cool to see implemented (intentionally and with care) in another rom hack. Cutscene-only bosses temporarily boosting their army's performance while they're on the field, I mean.

Not even an FE fan, but title and thumbnail were too good to pass up. Funniest thing is Had he made something actually good and not used assets without credit, most people would've forgiven his _absurd_ hubris and Gene Simmons-level ego. He's the guy alright, but not for a good reason. I've made some bad ROM hacks, but never thought I or my work was amazing. Again, the hubris. Absolutely unmatched in ROMhacking AFAIK, hats off from me for being so confidently wrong

Just capping stats and giving enemies top teir equipment is just bad design in FE. It's the same issue I have with Endgame Engage, it was just tedious rather engaging (pun intented). Plus it's not like it'll do much. You can use the worst units in a game and still beat most of the games hard modes as is. Support in FE 6 is a hell of a drug, The Axe bros getting A support before chapter 8, perfect shit. We all know in a real FE6 remake they will likely up the main side characters involvment. FEH has already helped try and remind people that Lillina is ment to be a Caeda type character, hence why she has the same amount of recruits. I doubt Guinniver will be playable, I feel it detracts a little from her role of being a Nyna but I imagine they'll improve scense so she can actually give better imput. I also expect it to be in a pair of games with FE 7 to help the two games actually patch up inatvertant plot holes. Maybe just get a slight import so Roy and stuff knowing who there mothers are.

Guhum, well, ACTCHUALLI, the game doesn't really lie to you, it really is using the value you see on screen, but because it is taking the average of 2 rolls it, it tends to roll closer to 50 wich is the average you get on rolls, but the true hit values are never registered at any moment in any variables. So because the game itseld don't really know the true hit rate, it is never lying to you, since a lie must be conscious. It's only spreading misinformation. ☝🤓
