  i usually do 16 fear runs. i find them the most balanced. i put 3 health fear, 2 rebukes, 1 100% damage on first strike. more enemy on encounter and enemy can spawn in different area, -50% mana starting in all area. these fear modifiers make game harder but don't throw the game out of wack. I don't like revenant. it makes all runs super long and tedious.

  Got my first win with the ricochet boon and a heavily pumped up zeus boon + jolted, double strike and the artemis boom that makes small arrows spawn with every hit. Just cleared rooms with a few button taps and kept getting pomps every chance I got😅

  I don't think Scalding Vapor is that good, since it removes Slip which is terrible for origination.

  I'm trying the DemeterxHestia duo boons for the 32 fear run and although it does tons of damage, it's just too much fear lol

  It's not good aiming for a duo boon and build around it. I'm not lucky every run so most of the time I get duos is on the fields. I also like spamming one button and I hate depending on magick. So here's my faves: Don't get attack or special boons, build damage and speed around it + spiteful strength and apollo's legendary. Asp of Than with nova strike, extra dose with hephaey's special for blocking purposes + build damage and speed + get lucky with hammers + hephaey's legendary. Love handles and Sunny disposition are fun with smithy sprint esp if you can get chain reaction; just sprinting and blasting all game. Asp of Charon with nova flourish + apollo's legendary; just spamming special while being safe from farther enemies. Cast build aiming for glorious disaster and hail storm + hades' howling soul. The revenge boons build with apollo's and zeus' then keep increasing water elements for poseidon's and demeter's infusion; if you can, apollo's infusion is also good, then once you're vs chronos, leave your controller/keyboard and watch chronos kill himself lol

  Staff: Hestia attack+Zeus special = Thermal dynamics on 3rd staff aspect. Charge your special to apply blitz and apply burn passively to proc the blitz. Poseidon's attack can work as primary for zues+poseidon duo. Dagger: Appolo primary attack, Hestia Special burn, Rush Exceptional Talent on Aspect of Pan. Slowcooker and Pyre technique can be good here. Torches: Primary Zeus ->Hera Born gain/Hestia Heart gain -> Bloodline. You can proc bloodline like crazy. You just build max mana. I do not rcommend priming any mana. Use torch #1. Axe: Air fryer build Air quality+Primary burn on Thanatos axe. Open with Aphrodite to gain Glamour gain and Her cast boon for +Air bonuses. Spin to win burn build. Skull: I just rush Ionic gain and spam magic. I like getting Demeter's Weed killer, Appolo's legendary and Hera's Boodline. Press omega attack 3 times, then charge Special.

  Had expected this to focus more on the early stages of the builds, such as [blank] weapon with [blank] Olympian's effect then a strategy of what to go for with the ultimate hope of landing a duo boon. Maybe individual vids to further break down each build would help?

  Some of the best runs I have gotten on top of my head: Aspect of Mel Skulls + Possessed Array + Weed Killer + Exceptional Talent Aspect of Artemis Blades + Static Shock + Electric Overload + Master Conductor + King's Ransom and some Hera boons Aspect of Pan Daggers + Wave Flourish + Golden Rule (now less powerful)

  I saw this title and was really excited to get some good advice on builds, and felt a little let down that it's just focused on duo boons. I would love to see some more basic advice on what kind of boon combinations works best for the different weapons. Like with the basic daggers I try to use Aphrodite's boon for attack, since I'm doing close damage anyway. Or for the Pan Daggers I've used Poseidon for the special attack. I've definitely found myself in some runs where I'm just not doing enough damage because I got the wrong boon combinations, and while I know that can happen in games like this, it would be helpful to hear from more experienced players about what works best for different weapons.

  most of the meta right now is just running hestia's special or attack -> Pyre techiuqe/Slow cooker. So your basically always just running Hestia keepsake ->Demester keepsake. If playing fear 32, go for hephatus to get Mint condition and Trusty Shield. that is most optimized way to win. Raw damage builds right now are weak because golden rule got nerfed.

  The vibe im getting from this is that u already need to have loads of stuff unlocked and maxed out and basiclly have already clocked a bunch of run throughs so not very useful for people mid progress

  You can still recognize their potential when you semi-randomly stumble into them, though, and you can certainly try to create opportunities for those duos to show up. So that can be useful advice to carry as you play your runs.

  suuuuuuuper weird bug at 11:45, since you transformed the psyche to a heart before the room was over it gave you another heart instead of the hera boon for the trial??? looks like artificing an ocean's bounty reward while in a trial overwrites the final boon reward, which could technically also become a hammer??? meaning you could have triple hammer by oceanus?? crazy

  that boon always worked like that. it was +5 damage than for whatever reason, they buffed it to +10. and now they nerfed it to the point that 3000 gold is 90% dps. it is useless now. it doesn't even == origination and you can't buy anything.

  Seems like they fixed it now. Now it gives 3% per 100. So 3000 gold gives 90% damage...

  @@sam.k.classic 90% is pitiful. aphrodite's attack boon does more than that. i rather just poome her boon and if i am going for burn build, slowcooker is better. so is air quality. Your not picking on heph boons... he already has chain reaction, the appolo duo boon for +200 damage and clear freeze boon. Zeus, not really worth. there is no build where it is worth it. omega builds rather take appolo lengendary and if they're primary omega, weed killer is like 100% at epic.

  Nice run but Vent is practically wasted - and that's still an issue with Hephaestus boons. You can't pom them too much or else you miss vent. Edit: @ 22:24 - you caught it. Vent has a huge problem with low latency Hephaestus. I wonder how they are going to address it in 1.0, if at all.

  i almost never go scolding vapor. it doesn't feel worth it. I only end up getting this boon on staff aspect of momus because my staff starts are always zeus or poseidon. it is a boon that is only good if you get smoldering ring because ring gives you scorch for free damage and then you can put poseidon as attack boon to proc steam many many times. With zeus, you can get air quality that boosts damage of scorch and the steam engine+procs of static shock can also be good. Hestia is something i never plan to get on staff, just something that happens with luck.

  This run gave me an idea. I was very disappointed before the balance patch with how much damage scorch did. At least now it’s in a decent place. In Hades 1 some of my best runs were with Dio on the fists or Chiron bow special with the Aphro and Ares duos. When the stars aligned, the health bars just melted with the hangover stacks. I haven’t done a “big number Freezer Burn” run yet, but I want to try a setup almost identical to yours with the daggers. Not sure which aspect. Maybe Mel because I use Pan so much because it’s objectively better and the highest fear clear I’ve done so far aside from Aspect of Charon and pretty much forgot that the daggers and axe are melee weapons. The build is very similar to this run. Hestia on the attack or special depending on the aspect. Grab Zeus’s infusion Air Quality to make all your damage at least 30. It makes Scorch and Cyclone damage bonkers. Aphrodite for the duo that keeps your scorch from falling off from the chip damage, put her instead of Demeter on the cast to apply weak and origination and also you can cast it continuously rather than have to save it for the big number plus a lot of her boons are air to help get Zeus’s infusion online. Instead put Demeter on the attack or special depending on which aspect you’re using and where you put Hestia’s scorch. If you’re using Pan, drop a cast, omega special scorch at them over and over again and apply origination, and then hop in and attack with Demeter on the attack for Freezer Burn big number if they survive the melting health bar. Demeter cyclones on the cast since it doesn’t take up the cast slot and you can put Aphro’s weak on the cast as well and apply origination and melt health bars with just the cast alone. Magick regen probably wouldn’t matter unless you’re using Pan, in which case Hesta’s or Aphro’s would be fine, so you wouldn’t need Hera’s. Hestia’s boon making Scorch deal damage faster would be cool, but I’m not sure if the increased damage makes it tick higher or more often. If it ticks more often it would be insane with Air Quality. If it ticks higher, then Air Quality wouldn’t matter as much except for the cyclones. Might want to increase enemy health to see how big the number can be haha.

  I've passed the game when it came out and after that I replayed it after a year or something and I was very upset when I found out they nerfed the natural disasters department. They shouldn't have done that.
