  thank you for the video, it helped guide me to fix my own door. currently my window is also broken but because of your video i might be able to do that as well. the washer you found randomly goes on the screws for the bottom or for the little button. they dont do much its not needed

  The price has come down significantly. I just purchased one for $10 from Amazon. I'm waiting for a warm day to install it. I was going to suck it up and do it in the cold until I found out about the trick to open the door. 🙂

  Terence Ng left a comment on here on what tools you'll need, those are the tools I used on my 2010 Mercury Milan to replace the door handle. I saved myself $60 labor charge from a garage mechanic estimate, it was easy to replace the door handle. I bought my door handle for $19.99 from AutoFit in Phoenix AZ and recommend anyone to replace the door handle themselves.

  First car repair I didn't just pay someone else to do, and it works great! Took me about 45 minutes. It looked simple and straightforward but I still procrastinated for 2 weeks.   Great video I just got my windshield replaced an come to find out the mechanic broke my door handle i was able to find out at a junk yard for $20 bucks since this is a common problem i may get replacements stand by handles cheap plastic. On a nice car ford get it together

  I believe you can rent a panel remover tool from the auto parts store. It's free and they have replacement door trim things there as well.

  QUESTION:: 2 of my doors will not open at all now that the handles have broke. How do I take the door frame off? I cannot reach the bottle 2 screws nor can I reach the one on the side of the door. TIA!
