i have a 40 year old xj600 & it`s sometimes terrible at starting, i`ve always wanted a CB900F, i had a cb750f, cb600f & a 500 twin my 500 use to start easy you just needed to push the kickstart about 4 or 5 inches & it fired up every time, i love the old bikes ?
Any reason why XJ600 don’t want to start? Have to ask as I have that XJ750 project also. 😂 I love old bikes too, but then again I also love my 2005 bandit. Well it’s also old but not that old… 😂
I've never seen this model before, what a sweet bike. ..in Canada we had 900F and 750F and Hondaline fairings but never seen this paint and wheels (on a 900) before, what a beauty, glad it's being revived
I think this Bol d’or is same as 900f and 900 supersport (USA) it was just named like that in Europe. Not sure about fairings if they were optional in Europe too.
This video couldn't have come at a better time, this just made me want to get on (at last) on the CB900F that's just waiting to be revived and is patiently waiting in my garage.
That is nice to hear! 🙌 Just go for it mate! 😊
Awesome video, I've got an 83 cb1000c and an 82 cb900f.... I've turned the cb1000c into a cafe racer and got it up and running but I haven't got the CB900 out of the shed but this video is definitely a motivation... I'll be excited to see this project continue
Thank you! Inhave to decide what I will do with it. I’m turning to resto mod track style. But not sure yet. Have to finnish my CB750 caferacer and XJ750 Scrambler too… 😂

Thanks, that what I did!
Found a potential XJ750 project on OfferUp, any tips?
Just basic checks, does it run? How long it has been stationary. Any accodents in history etc.

Thank you! I might consider that!
Looks too comfortable for a cafe racer seat! Nice work.
I tested it and it really feels quite good. Now Inhave to find someone to make leathers to it…
Nice 👍... The music was driving me crazy.... I did watch the whole video though....
Thank you for the comment and for your spend time to watch it throug. Sorry to hear about music, but I really appreciate honest opinion! 🙌
Nice work, especially the flow into the tank line
Thanks, there will be issues to be solved with that design as I want to route exchaust beside seat and under side panel… 😄
Honda gas tank and Kawasaki motor 🎉
Almost, but only rims and front end are from Kawasaki! 🤟
Looking good mate
Thank you! 👍

What foam are you using I'm about to start mine and I wanna make sure I get firm enough foam
Thank you for comment! I have not select foam for CB but i started to make set to my XJ scrambler while ago. For that bike I chose compoud foam. You can find it in different thickness and also rating kg/cm3. I think mine is 80kg/m3 and it feels ok to sit on. After driving it first time my arse will tell me if it was correct choice. This material was messy to form, and also bit difficult. So i might consider traditional foam that has also kg/m3 ratings for my CB
Hey brother. I know I asked you before but lost it. Whats the rear rim off from? Tire size and do I need to change the bearings to fit the shaft? Do I need extra spacers. Sorry for the long list
No worries mate! Rim is from 2006 Kawasaki 750. Original shaft fits but spacers need some adjustment to get tyre centered. You also need offset front sproket to get chain line correct.
Good work! I am working on my bike too. What battery do you use? Can you share the model or store link? Thank you
Thank you! I have lithium battery that goes under the hump. Mine is aliant ultralight YLP09X. It might be bit on small side but I hope the momentary starting power is enough. Sorry but cant find the store anymore, but you can find one via Google.
Thank you!@@plan-bmotos

Thanks mate! I try to make it as as I finnish yamaha seat. I wanted to train seat foam work on other bike first. 😀
Nice work! I got also an XJ. It is nice to see some build from that bike. Are you planning on using the original wiring?
Thank you! I’m going to go with NWT X21 box. I might use some of the original wiring, but there was minor meltdowns in it… 🙂
@@plan-bmotos Never knew about NWT, I might consider this for mine also! Thanks!
@dangagnon734 You are most welcome!
Nice tyres. Meanwhile I see your boy is making a gun. You need to keep him busy and out of mischief!
Thank you, not sure how those act on pavement but i plan to drive this in gravel mostly! Yes he does samurai swords, guns and knives from wood and from lego bricks… 😂
Confetti flavored seat
😄 That would be something different, this is only the foam tho. 😊
Hows this project going? Can you help a newbie in the build world on how to mount the carburetors on this bike?
Hi there and thank you for comment and question! This bike is under the blanket atbthe moment as I have been super busy real work. I’m also currently learning how tonmake seat on my Yamaha project. 😀 What comes to mounting carbs, I have episode that shows the process. If you have any questions just ask! kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4GEprZvY8eyhpc.htmlsi=Dkg5V1tImut5dodB

Thanks mate! That was exactly what I did!
This gives me some good ideas! I’m surprised you didn’t try to blend it into the lower hole on the tank to bring them together
Thats nice to hear! I’m planning to trim that side hole off from tank and make side panels to it. I thinked about blending it but seat would be quite wide from front after that. Injist might take another look tho… 😂 Thanks for the comment!
B, btw what gas tank is that?
Gas tank is from this bike. 1983 CB750C
Great job
Thanks mate!
nice job!
Thank you!
Fantastic😀
I’m Not happy with it yet… 🤷♂️
EVERYONE does plan-B when building a Cafe Racer. Have your first baby
Well that is true. I did too! 🫣 Maybe next time I’ll do something different… 😉
Coming along great!
Thank you! It’s been bit slow for few weeks. Too much real work! 😂
