FPMT

The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) transmits the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values worldwide through Tibetan Buddhist teachings, meditation, community service, retreat centers, and projects that preserve the tradition. FPMT is based on the Gelugpa tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa of Tibet as taught by our founder, Lama Thubten Yeshe and spiritual director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

    I listen to these videos time and again because I don’t want to forget the teachings. Many realisations occur each time I immerse myself to find no self exists

    When I wake in the night and I can’t breathe I know I could die. Asthma has a way of reminding me that I too am impermanent in this life

    I am a Christian but I also love Buddhism. There are many benefits from its moral living to its meditation practices. However, I always seem to have trouble following Buddhist's logic when it comes to the existence of God and its seeming hostility towards the Christian religion. For example, the teacher above in this first video stated that Buddhists do not believe in God and they know everything has a beginning but the mind or consciousness or the true self does not have a beginning, it is eternal (this sounds a lot like God). However, that begs the question wouldn't this eternal self then be God? How many eternal beings are there? Are we all the same being in our true essence? Does this mean that we, our true selves, created this world and we are God collectively or maybe even individually? Why couldn't there be a God who created us and that God be the eternal one? We know this world exists. We experience it. How we understand that experience is subjective. We also know that the world itself is not eternal. It had a beginning. Things do not pop into existence someone or thing had to create them as the teacher above proclaimed. That someone or thing was not me nor was it you nor was it her. It was God.

    Women are not allowed into the most holy rooms. So, women are lowest lifeform in Buddhism .. as well?

  • @Tsedoop
    @Tsedoop20 күн бұрын

    No, I don’t think so, as a Buddhist women never faced any interdiction against entering any Holy rooms. 🌸 instead we inaugurate all the festivals in monasteries so everybody is allowed even if you are not Buddhist.

    People who took care of Lama Zopa really did a horrible job. He is constantly burping acidity pouring that insane amount of salt butter tea, that gave him stroke and all. They also dont stop him while he is exhausted from teaching. How sad that we lost our precious Guru.

    Why change the video? The segment where Lama Zopa Rinpoche points to the "Ah" on the rock was invaluable so why pull it out if there were some need to remove it, someone should explain so that all may benefit by having more knowledge about why removing was necessary.

    Your holiness. I do research on Vajrayana Buddhism in Bihar. You should visit Kajra in Lakhisarai District of Bihar. Kajra has been mispronounced in various ways by different ancient Tibetansn. Kajra was mispronounced as Kagyu, Kajra was mispronounced as Jagora in the Tilopa story, and Chakthani as Chativavo, In the Vajravarahi story Kajra is mispronounced as the pure land of Kijila, in the Shambhala story Kajra is mispronounced as Kalapa, and the Jhana river was mispronounced as Jonang school of thought. Kajra has several dakinis as deities, and next to Kajra is Narottimpur village where Naropa stayed when he was northern gate of Vikramshila. Kajra is the victory band around Atisha's palace, and near Kajra are two villages with Tibetan names. They are Marpa Khurd and Marpa Kalan in the name of and incient Tibetan called Marpa. Next to Kajra is the Kalchakra stupa where the Buddha imparted the Kalchakra teachings. And next to the stupa is a huge mud mound which has the three dimensional Kalchakra Mandala. The lovely part the area around the Kalchakra Mandala is in Atisas name. Your holiness, you should visit Kajra in your life. Because the concept of the Dalai Lama being an incarnation of Avalokiteshwar started on the Potala hill which is just behind Kajra town. Close to Kajra are Urain mispronounced as Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer. Northwest of Urain is Dhanari lake which Tibetans call Lake Dhanakosha. Southwest of Dhanari lake is Sahur again mispronounced as Zahor by Tibetans. Sahur/Zahor has a dakini temple who undoubtedly is Mandarva. Please view the video, ‘Padmasambhava’s life in India. (2)’.

    With Buddhadharma as one’s inmost compass, every step is a pilgrimage and every breath a prayer. One need not travel to exotic faraway places to walk in balance and live compassionately. Genuine Refuge means all the rest of one’s journey is a pilgrimage, no matter who one is or where or how or why. ❤️🙏🏼❤️

    This is your greatest delusion. THERE IS NO SUPERNATURAL BEING HERE. Why don't you realize that this older man was just asleep. Things were no different for my grandfather. Your sublime beings are fallen sons of heaven. These beings are energy. Look at the Siddhis. Jesus demonstrated the same abilities. Finally wake up. A tulku is a host body numbered by a specific collection of fallen angels!
